Yeah, who wouldn’t love Child Marcel telling Rebehka that he’s gonna marry her when he’s a child then years later Rebehka starts dating him even though she grew up with him & he’s practically a little brother that she fell in love with. He even calls himself a Mikaelson. Now that’s what I call amazing writing, right?
Yes, family. Don’t you just love adopted nephew Marcel saying he will marry adoptive aunt Rebehka when he was a kid & then years later after Rebehka saw him grow she then grows feelings for him. Isn’t that amazing writing for “family” & for a show? Flabbergasted
Yea and no. In vampire lore and TVD, loyalty can be inspired by the Sire. It’s supposedly rare but it is possible. What they don’t seem to understand is witches are born, not sired/turned.
Davina was actually one of my favs in the originals … her character eats. Fun fact, Davina also played in an original Disney channel movie called “Starstruck” as the main role back in 2010 so 3 years before the originals aired. I grew up watching Disney so I knew who she was when I actually got into the whole vampire diaries franchise and spin-offs. When I saw her in the originals I was excited and she does not disappoint! Also she was quite young filming this but I think she was at least 17 or 18 during the first season of production for the originals.
davina is one of my favorites too! I don't understand why people hate her so much! But then again, I've only finished season 2, but she is still one of my favorites!
This episode was very memorable for me because it's the first time they showed us the Mikaelson family strength that they told us about in season 2 of TVD not the watered down, weakened and very sad version they showed in seasons 3 and 4 of TVD to make the mystic falls people seem strong and unbeatable. They told us they're the strongest supernatural family yet they made them into weak noobs that never took revenge on the people that have wronged them. Thank god for this show giving us and the Mikaelsons justice.
I completely agree I feel like the originals really shows how strong they are and why they should've been feared, I mean in season one of the vampire diaries they pointed out that age was a big factor when it came to how strong vampires were (also how much they fed on human blood, the episode where Damon first fights Stefan), and yet the originals literally being like a thousand years old were a lot of times stabbed/killed by characters like Elena and Stefan which really just didn't make sense to me.
You guys got the definition of siring wrong. It just means a vampire that turns someone else and they either feel a strong loyalty to them or it just means they turned them. Like Tyler was sired to Klaus because he was grateful to him. But Klaus is Marcel’s sure because Klaus turned him. Sire vs sired to
Marcel was a son to Klaus... If my kid by blood or adopted is trying to sleep with my sister we have a problem... I would hope my sister would be like your family this is not ok..... Rebekah is like whatever a man is a man... Could be my brother or son who cares....
@@ukwuezevictor6180 hello? Reading comprehension is key. Aunts & nephews should not be doing anything sexual together. Justifying child grooming to defend Klaus is literally insane. What is wrong with you?
This is the worst episode take y'all ever had,Rebekah low-key did more than Klaus in this episode and the sire bond thing, seriously? That was one of the dumbest thing y'all have ever said
It’s weird how many people in here are suddenly campaigning for this show but y’all weren’t saying this when I was telling them since season 4 VPD to react to this show. Y’all were saying it doesn’t matter the, crossovers don’t matter, etc but where was all this praise I’m seeing when I was saying react to this show? Y’all were the same ones telling me cry more
Elijah: "Is this about the Marcel thing?" Rebekah: "I was in love..." Klaus: "Rebekah banged a kid!" Rebekah: "No! What I did was..." Elijah "Shhh. We're in the Range Rover, none of that matters now!"
We have to make a lot of exceptions while watching supernatural shows (vampires especially), but I do think it’s icky because she’s known him since he was a child. It would’ve been more palatable had she met him when he was older (not a little boy lol).
@@Addie-K738 Rebekah she groomed him sense he was like 9..... Imagine if Marcel raised Davina then started dating Davina when she was 16 or 18.... raising children to sleep with them its not ok... Especially if your a ward or adopted or blood.
@@lucienolongerhuman8298 agreed! It went from great drama from TVD and Originals… to cheesy storylines and very unrealistic looking monsters… so cringy when the called themselves “the super squad”… I wanted to like it so bad! I will say the only redeemable part of the show is Hope!
@@jeannguyen3199 they would just be wasting the time with it. It's bad. S1 was watchable but like.. no. I would rather watch the last season of the 100 and that isn't great competition either but at least the most of the seasons are good
I never shipped Rebekah and Marcel, it was too creepy imo. Never liked Marcel either, he's so obsessed with the Mikaelsons and he's a delusional dictator
@@Step43099 Okay, that's just my opinion. This episode showed exactly how obsessed he is with being a Mikaelson. He cursed the wolves and controls the witches and doesn't allow them to do magic. That's dictatorship 😬 Rebekah was his aunt and basically raised him with her brother so it's creepy.
@@nora_1995 You know that's not the whole story with either the wolves or the witches... And however imperfect the character might be and his "rule" over NOLA: first, it wasn't all bad and a lot of times he did for the whole of that part of the city... and second, I'm pretty confident that we can start naming characters that you probably really really like, that are worse (measurably and factually worse) than Marcel in many aspects, specially brutality and body count... Also, this situation with the witches has only been going on for a few months and the situation with the wolves and couple of decades; you do realize that he has been "ruling" there for over 100 years If you don't like the character then that's cool, you don't like him... But the reasonings you gave fall flat pretty quickly... Specially your view on his relationship with the family, HIS FAMILY
@@nora_1995 no you misunderstand me. You’re allowed to have your opinion that’s nothing to be changed. I was talking about your analysis of him as a character was largely off. To say he’s “obsessed” with the Mikaelsons is an odd statement. He was raised by them so it only makes sense that he’s similar to them and that he often acts like Klaus but he’s also very different from Klaus as we see in the series itself. He quite literally did not want them around when they showed up, that sounds like the opposite of an obsession to me personally but maybe I’m just the crazy one. He is a dictator though but “delusional” idk I don’t see it. If being in charge of the city and keeping your literal enemies unable to kill you and everyone around like you then yea I guess he’s a delusional dictator, but I don’t see how that makes him obsessed with being a Mikaelson. I don’t really care about the romance in any of these shows so you got me there I just really enjoy Charles Michael Davis and Claire Holt’s performances. Most of these relationships are weird to me personally but I suppose I’m not the target demographic these ships are made for
@@Alewaxon Seriously calm down, I didn't say he was the worst. No matter what his reasoning is, cursing 2 packs is not the answer, he cursed freaking families and called it "order in the quarter" . It's just what I saw in him, I never thought he was a good leader to anybody but the vampires. So please calm down, it's not a fact it's an opinion. Just like what you said is not a fact, it's an opinion. So chill. And if the Mikaelsons were his family, why didn't he follow them and let them assume he's dead? If he loves them so much why did he want to run them out of NOLA so he can stay and rule? He didn't want be be part of the family Mikaelson, he wanted to be a Mikaelson by name, to be feared and respected by everyone.
