Finn was the eldest brother. He should have been developed to be extremely refined and better self control over the others, even though he did not like being a vampire.
Ocean Strong he took on the role of the oldest when they first started running from Mikael. Finn hated himself and his siblings and he was complaining about being a vampire so Elijah took it upon himself to take care of his siblings
Daggered for 900 years by your family, the first decades it was like sleeping but as the years went on he slowly got his consciousness back. Thats when it started to become unbearable. I think he's acting far more stabile, than he should be. Nvm if you didnt know he was daggered LOL

Klaus pulling that white oak steak out of his ass at the last second was unbelievable, and I mean really unbelievable, so bad writing. They went to hell to make sure not a shred of that white oak remained, and yet Klaus kept one ...? Oh, and even though he already had an indestructible one, _plus_ didn't bother telling his family he has it. Immortality was never something he was afraid of, either. It would have been more sensible for Klaus and Elijah to have daggered themselves with syringes full of Marcel's venom. We know it kills pretty much instantly when injected in the heart.

I've just rewatched the whole show ( Nostalgia is a bitch ) and it's crazy how some little details make sense when you know the rest of the story. 0:50 If you look closely, Lucien is about to rush and save the white oak himself since he need it for his master plan, but Finn was faster than him.
Actually in tvd universe no one is truly immortal even if The originals burn all the white oak the nature create more trees of white oak no matter what because mother Nature provides balance. No one is powerful than Mother Nature(earth)

You could live a billion lifetimes, but how can this go on FOREVER? Won't you just grow tired of living at one moment, knowing you will never die? What kind of life would this be? He would've got the Mikaelsons together and decided what to do with the white oak. together. as a family. DUD3 X 21 it appears you didn't understand the lady. The lady has no problem with Elijah not burning the white oak. It's just that it's out of character for Elijah to make such a decision without the whole family. He could have saved it and let the family decide later when Lucien wasn't around as Elijah doesn't trust Lucien. In season one of the Originals, Elijah tells Klaus that it's family decision when they needed Esther's body consecrated and Elijah needed Rebekah's consent. So yes this is bs
@@cade.s actually, he kept it in case he wanted to commit suicide when immortality felt like too much of a burden. He was gonna live forever without anything to kill him, eventually, weather 1000 or 1000000 years, he was gonna feel the weight of eternity and want an escape

Finn just really hates his existence as what they are.....so heartbreaking.... if I was them I wouldn't be like Finn but like Elijah knows there is truth to what Finn says. Though time and again they have said that they have gotten rid of the white oak and time and again they have found more. I would bank on them finding more and just have told Finn if you truly believe that one should not last for eternity then it shouldn't matter if I burn this, there will always be a way out if one truly wants it.
+Lamont Brown Not a valid point really Finn wants to die why would he wait for his wish when he already has it in his hands literally. Who knows how long it will take seeing as a weapon existed for thousands of years but they aren't dead. The whole episode was based on them giving Finn another chance. All throughout the series as well as TVD weapons have polled up that could destroy the Originals. Finn lacks perspective, if he had it he would have realized that something would eventually pop up. Asking his siblings to allow him to kill himself was short sided, they wouldn't allow Dahlia to take what was rightfully hers (from Finn's perspective). Of course they are not gonna allow him to kill himself. They say family always and forever and that is the only thing that is true in this show because as they have shown things are changing, the sire lines are supposed to be forever and look at what happened to Klaus. Finn's plan is short sided and lacks perspective. Why wait cause it's not gonna happen now, if it was gonna happen now then they would have allowed it.

It's not about being right or wrong....(well for me it isn't) I'm having fun talking about the show I'm a fan of! I like hearing opinions because sometimes you learn something that you might have missed in the show...and other times you get to just geek out about the awesome moments in the show! Dialogue, discussion and not debate is fun. Debates are when someone has to be right but a conversation or discussion is about hearing each other out, sharing opinions and enjoying being apart of something.
If a regular vampire hates their existence they can kill themselves but an Original vampire like Finn is stuck. Vampires either love or hate their existence and at some just deal with it. Also being alive as vampire is different than being alive as a human obviously. Kol is dealing with his own issues and he's struggling so it might be similar to Finn. Finn doesn't want to give in to hunger or become like his siblings. All of the vampire siblings have seen as little out control at some point in time.
You know looking at it Lucien and Marcel are the most dangerous enemies for the Mikaelsons. They just know them so well. Lucien knew how to pull at Elijah's strings to get the outcome he wanted while making Elijah think he made the choice on his own. And he can do the same to the ever paranoid Klaus. If Marcel could ever let go of his familial feelings towards the lot of them he could do some damage.
When I was watching this scene I just kept thinking "man you need to make this white oak disappear and Finn wants to die, that's just perfect, let him die poor boy 💀"
nmtlnm By trapping Finn in his vampire body, she stopped him from having the chance to die. Now his only option is the white oak bullet, which means that Elijah couldn't destroy it, for him.

You forget Finn killed Davina s boyfriend Kol.. why is Davina to blame when thr chain reaction was started by Finn... people always blame non Mikaelsons... Vincent was right..Mikaelsons always did self defeating schemes. Thanks to Freya sacrificing Davina.. Marcel became more powerful than the Mikaelsons and nearly wiped the lot of them

Originally, there was only Mikael's stake and Rebekah's chess piece. Then the sapling that made the Wickery Bridge batch, which all but 2 stakes worth was destroyed in time. Mikael's stake incinerated with him, Klaus kept hold of two of the Wickery stakes, and the chess piece was still around. Then Dahlia destroyed the reusable stake, leaving just Klaus' stake and the chess piece. The chess piece was turned into these bullets and they were all used. That left the stake Elijah and Klaus killed each other with halves of

it´s funny how they claimed to be immortal and yet we´ve seen so many possibilities to kill an original in this series: white oak, a witch powerful enough, those thorns, the abomination lucien creates, the cure for immortality, ripping their heart out, going to mystic falls after the travelers cleansed all magic there..... there might be more but those are all i can think of right now
The witch powerful enough thing was a onetime thing - Klaus was vulnerable at the moment his Hybrid Curse was released, then Bonnie used the power of a hundred witches to turn nature on Klaus and Elijah was set to rip out his heart but changed his mind

They cannot be killed by getting their heart torn out. That was a one time thing with Klaus because of his ritual transitioning him from Vampire to Hybrid. If beheading them or tearing their heart out was enough to kill them it would have already been attempted. The only reason a Beast bite can kill them is because Lucien used White Oak. The only reason the thorns worked was because Inadu used Marcel's blood. The Traveler spell would be temporary as once they leave the city they're good, plus, they wouldn't be dumb enough to put themselves in that position. And the cure doesn't kill them, it just makes them Human, it does this to every semi-immortal/fully immortal beings.
Am I only the one that was confused on why Lucien was gonna let them destroy it if he needed it for his potion to make him whatever he was . I cant believe Elijah actually defended Finn in this episode considering he hated him last season also if he had cursed Nicklaus to die he would have burnt him himself. Such a hypocrite. Who is he to decide what happens to Finn. He wasn't cursed to die by his hands, if he was Kol he would wanna do the same thing. Elijahs moral compass seems to be all over the map.

DUD3 X 21 I did understand the depth of the scene i just had a hard time believing Elijah love for Finn when he left him in a box for 900 years. I mean he tried to kill Klaus child for gods sake. I do think Elijah is a control freak in general over other peoples faits and it annoys me that he acted like he was the eldest when he is not. Also i think only reason Finn changed was because he was finally reunited with a family member who had never betrayed him and he didn't want her to turn against him but i think it was out of character for Finn to almost forgive them in the end. I mean they left the poor guy in a box for 900 years for christ sake.
Maybe the reason they never completely destroy the white oak is because their immortality is tied to it? I mean, their immortality spell was bound to the white oak, so if they really did completely destroy it, then they will die?
By all acounts that was the last piece of white oak. The one Klaus pulled in s5 was just a plothole. Joseph and Daniel didn't want to guest star on Legacies so she killed them off.
