This never gets brought up enough for me. Obviously, Klaus does some terrible things to them, but Hayley and Jackson were so wrong for trying to take Hope away from Klaus. Like....how did they expect him to react?

@@sunshinesam6399 I was to. I knew the dagger would come into play sometime but Klaus' worst fear is being betrayed by family. He's the most ruthless Original so that was a mistake.

@@BrianR246 yeah I was like “are you dumb or are you dumb?” Like they need him! Why would they dagger him? Elijah and Rebekah said themselves that Klaus would help the most in defeating Dahlia, so why would they do it?

@@sunshinesam6399 He's the best strategist so yeah it was dumb. It's not like he hasn't massacred hundreds of innocents before and they did nothing. Elijah is smart, he almost killed Klaus in TVD, BUT, Klaus is always a step ahead. Even if he forgave them daggering him, letting Hayley take Hope from him he will never let slide.

Yeah. The thing is, had they decided to dagger him before he was a Father (had they the means to do so) I'd completely understand. He's done it to them on multiple occasions and has hurt them a lot. But when he not only has a daughter who he loves and who needs a Father in her life, but there's also a *very* powerful Witch trying to take said daughter and likely kill everyone else, I just can't be on board with it. (I wouldn't completely be on board with it anyway as he's my favourite, but I *would* understand it better...) It was stupid and cruel of them to do it at this moment in time, when he's been trying to change. One set back shouldn't have made them turn on him like that...

Marrying Jackson was a colossal mistake. Klaus was right; they didn’t need the pack to protect Hope. Who needs a werewolf pack when you have a family of vampires and the baby’s parents are hybrids? Hayley should have married Klaus since they’re both Alphas.

Yeah Elijah loves Hayley but he blindly loves and trusts his family she saw that Lml still love her tho even tho most her decisions drive me crazy

I was pretty neutral on Hayley in the first season. Strongly disliked her by the end of the second season and loved her by the end of the third season lol.

The plan to get rid of Klaus was not strategical, nor logical. It was emotional and therefore in my opinion will always be the wrong move. If it made sense to sit him out, I would sympathize with everyone’s decision to stab him. And I also did not see the logic of Hayley and Jackson running away. Nonetheless, my opinion.

@@NormaReyes-vx4js I understand that they felt like Klaus was a wildcard at the moment, but they should know by now that Hope is the most important thing in the world to him. He will do everything to keep her safe. The fact that they're more worried about what Klaus is up to instead of the threat Dahlia poses is insane to me. Without Klaus, they're setting themselves up for failure.

@@bhliss5088 definitely agree, Dahlia is the biggest threat that should have been handled first, and then they can go for Klaus if they saw fit. But there’s just no logic in sitting him aside. He’s the top person with Hopes best interest along with Hayley, it makes no sense for him to ruin things and potential allow Dahlia to take Hope.

it is true that Klaus would do anything to protect his daughter; but sadly when it comes to Klaus that also means that it doesn't matter who he has to hurt in the process of 'getting what he wants', and that includes his own family and loved ones... He has proven thru out the centuries that he is capable of levering his closest people in order to get what he wants and that's something that someone like Elijah doesn't want. And the main thing is, that shared history that they have with Klaus informs their decision today; everybody knows damn well what happens when Klaus gets this way and it usually ends up in mayhem... Elijah has spend several episodes trying to reason with Klaus but he is been acting extra, daggering Klaus is not a decision Elijah took lightly but if you see it from his perspective what other choice did Klaus left him with? trust that Klaus would get everything sorted out by himself without casualties and all will be good? Klaus was acting on his own, alienating everyone and actively hiding the resources that they needed to take down Dahlia... Everything points to the fact that Klaus is walking a tight rope and a very self-destructing one

Freya doesn't trust Klaus because Klaus is not only distrustful towards her, he's been outright pretty hateful and has a "get away from me" kinda approach towards her. Klaus has an "entirely me or her/him" kind of viewing. There's no middle ground. If you are with him, you cannot disagree with him and even if you do, the issue you both disagreed upon (when it comes to the action) should result in what he wanted otherwise, you'll incur his wrath. Now, daggering him is a questionable decision but not trusting Elijah, the only person who is pretty much always on his side when he sees Elijah's loyalty to the baby has always been evident. Elijah literally believes that the baby is everything to Klaus' redemption. At least tell him that you didn't kill Aiden even if you don't tell him the plan, at least do that. Right now he just seems to be going on a spiral and out of control. Elijah does not fear Klaus regardless of what Klaus does, so his tactic of admitting to the killing Aiden to gain people's fear is irrelevant on Elijah so tell him so tell him that at least. Plus, you cannot expect Hayley, not to be upset at Klaus. I agree with you in that trying to take the baby away is arguable a terrible decision especially when Dahlia exists, there's nothing you can do to hide a 1000+ year old super super witch with just wolves. But as the mother of the baby, as a mother, she will demand that Klaus let her know what he's planning because it's her baby as much as it is his. I disagree with some of Hayley's decisions but I understand her emotions.

@@ebrimajallow3165 I think Freya and Klaus are similar in this situation. Yes, Freya is more open to getting to know her family but she does have the same "its me or him" mentality as Klaus has. So i get both sides. I think Klaus doesn't trust Elijah when it comes to Hayley. He is afraid that Elijah would chose Hayley over him and he did in this episode. Letting her go when Klaus said he had a plan. Elijah is blinded by how i feels for her if he can't see that running away is a really bad plan. I do agree with you that Klaus should have trusted Elijah or even Rebekah with the plan. I 100% get Hayley but she does act like she is the only parent that Hope has. She gets to decide what happens to Hope and Klaus just has to accept it. I get that they don't get along at all really but she doesn't even try to trust him when it comes to Hope. She would rather go to Elijah or Jackson before the father of her Child.

I thought this too, but I guess we're to assume that even though Klaus was with Elijah and Hayley for - a few hours since it goes from day to night - that it could've happened earlier that evening before Klaus showed up at the bar? It's weird and doesn't really add up, but they were all so emotional and not thinking too clearly.

Klaus paranoi was out of control, yes, but Jackson and Hayley trying to take Hope away from him fed into that paranoia and proved him right. Not to mention he was 100% right about Freya conspiring against him. As for not telling everyone else about the plan, I agree he should’ve told at least Elijah about it since he’s an original too and can fight off Dahlia’s mind control, but everyone else’s mind was vulnerable to Dahlia.

It works both ways, though. I don't think anybody (maybe Cami?) has been entirely trustworthy this season. It works perfectly, though, because it sets up the events in this episode and the remaining ones.

A lot of people come down hard on Elijah because of his decision to dagger Klaus; but it is all there, they've been showing us for several episodes how Klaus has been behaving and how that is affecting his relationship with his close circle... It is very telling about this situation that pretty much everyone is exasperated by Klaus at this point, the fact that no one is really on his corner (not even Cami, who is even worried about Klaus behavior and is struggling to believe in him) is proof of the way he is been pushing people away; Remember Elijah was not the only one who decided that Klaus was being so extra that he could represent a danger to Hope, Rebekah thought so, Marcel, Hayley, Freya. Like you said, whether it was the right or wrong decision, the reasons WHY we got to this point are all there and Klaus shares part of the blame for the alienation between the family with his 'Lone Warrior' attitude... Elijah basically spend this entire episode and the ones before almost begging Klaus to drop the attitude and tell him what he is planning.

@@truthtella3371 I fully understand how Klaus is so paranoid but just because I 'understand' it doesn't mean that it is good for him to be that way, it is a behavior that is open to rightful criticism. Do you realize that much of the problems or enemies that Klaus has had over the centuries are a result of his own behavior and his own 'character traits'?; there are times where his paranoia serves him well but most of the time his fear of abandonment, paranoia, anger, all of these shortcomings create more problems for him. That witch that Elijah trusted, guess what? She was only an 'enemy' because Klaus made her an enemy by what he did to her... the only reason why Freya is so against Klaus right now is because Klaus has treated her like shit and she saw that Klaus was never going to trust her and he was going to represent a danger to her desired freedom... Like I said, most times than not his attitudes created the problems that he then has to confront, and when he does he claims righteousness for the way he deals with said 'problems' Now about Jackson and Hayley... Hayley has pretty much every reason to distrust Klaus and Klaus has been treating her and the pack as props, as a means to an end, treating the wolfs as pets or mere guard dogs for him. We agree that Jackson's idea is hella wrong, but I do think people go above and beyond with the hate towards his character like he is the most evil person on the show when in fact is the complete opposite... He is wrong but he is doing it out of desperation and love for Hayley and Hope, he is trying to find a solution and to help in the only way he can and like I said it will be wrong to think that he is just going to trust Klaus or any of the Mikaelsons to deal with this in a way that will not get the people he loves killed... He is wrong but that doesn't make him evil or a terrible character, people are quick to forgive and forget much more horrible things that Klaus or Elijah, etc. have done and they treat them like heroes but a desperate choice from Jackson and Hayley and they are irredeemable bastards.

@@Alewaxon I get your perspective, and I share some of your opinions. I just also think that moments like these, when they side against him, and express their distrust is part of what feeds Klaus’s paranoia. Back in season one although Klaus gives Elijah up to Marcel, as soon as Elijah is back Klaus does nothing but follow his lead, for Elijah to later on not trust the his affection and intentions for his daughter are pure. And that’s just one instance, yes it’s difficult to trust Klaus, but everyone’s reactions just further drives him not to trust anyone. I also think that in a time where they need everyone and anyone that has the ability to fight against Dahlia, it’s not logical to get rid of Klaus. They reacted emotionally toward Aiden’s death which is understandable, but thinking realistically, Klaus is a weapon that should have never been thought to be put away.

Are you sure? And I'm not only talking about possible future scenarios... In the first season it was pretty clear that Klaus considered Hayley basically a walking incubator and out right affirmed that he intended to get rid of her as soon as the baby was born... We might talk about how Klaus attitudes might have changed but he is 100% capable of doing that.

@@Alewaxon He was most certainly capable of doing it, but as you said, his attitude towards her has completely changed. I get Hayley's intentions, but it frustrates me that Jackson has a big part in this too. The only people that should be making decisions about Hope are her parents. Any future scenarios was a (deserved) reaction Klaus.

@@bhliss5088 Even Klaus himself said otherwise, so no, it was not a 'deserved' reaction... It was petty revenge... And yes, Klaus has changed his attitude towards Hayley but we both know at what point he actually really acknowledge trust and understanding towards Hayley; so to me it's not at all surprising that Hayley doesn't not trust Klaus... Like I said on comments before, you can be damn sure that Klaus would succeed in whatever plan he has to protect and save Hope, but we are also damn sure that Klaus doesn't care about how many people he hurts in the process (even family members and loved ones)

We agree on the first part, It was the wrong call to make from Hayley and Jackson... But you are dead wrong about the last part: Jackson didn't 'turned Hayley against Klaus', Klaus did that himself with his attitude and behavior... Hayley hasn't really trusted Klaus ever and she has very good reasons not to.

@@Alewaxon I understand after Klaus behaved that way, why she would not trust him. But before that, Jackson was the one who fed Hayley with all those ideas that with Klaus, Hope wouldn't be safe. It's ok if you disagree. But I personally believe, he had a role in turning her against him.

@@growupanushka I don't think he did, Hayley had those feelings all on her own... Jackson was not in the picture until recently and Hayley already was well aware of how Klaus was and what he could do; and she has been pointing out for a while that The Mikaelsons and specifically Klaus are one of the main sources of danger for Hope because of their history (and she is right). Whatever mistrust that Hayley has towards Klaus she formed that opinion on her own and for a while now because of Klaus' actions and history; Whatever mistrust and dislike that Jackson has towards Klaus is also based on Klaus' actions and behavior towards the wolfs, so he has every reason to think that way... So even if I were to agree with you that 'he filled Hayley's head with words of mistrust against Klaus and feelings she didn't already had' (which I don't), that still doesn't mean that he is wrong about his assessment of Klaus, he is right; Klaus is always going to bring danger into Hope's life because of his past and present actions and his way to behave.
