It might still feel weird though to attribute any of this to Horus perse, wouldn't it be more accurate to say that it was Horus's priest that did all of this? And I would say that the most accurate way to say this is to say that Horus and the priest were two parts of the same individual, he was a bicameral man, bicameral means split in two, divided into two components. Part of his mind was a psychological entity named Horus and the other was the specific man that Horus commanded. That is why the Serekh is depicted like this, it gives away the fact that the man was composed of two parts, a divine god and a mortal man. But the reason I assign more reality to Horus than historians typically do and more agency to Horus than his priest is because Horus and the other gods were collectively experienced. It wasn't just the one king who spoke to the gods, but his other priests as well, and in their heads they were all speaking to the same gods. Such entities were ultimately an idea in their heads, but that idea, that collective hallucination, exerted this powerful influence over an entire kingdom, causing it to act like a superorganism.

Do you believe as McLuhan predicted that we are returning to a bicameral man? I believe there is plenty of evidence - in the trends we are seeing - that this is in fact true.

Them not knowing about thinking so they all thought is was god= a definition for mass hulination. People are different=unless twins or really similer,or think the same way or your lives are 80% copies=mass hulinations shouldnt happen. Each brain is a person=extremelly different. We dont even know anything thing still. I need to see if know more physically, but its still not alot.

Thanks nexus this one was awesome! i believe set represents the 'darkness' of the left brain and horus the 'light' of the right brain. if u check out that new Dreamworks Animation movie "Orion and The Dark" i believe you see this symbolism expressed to the fullest. in Judaic Kabbalah they also express these concepts as Chochmah and Binah. Perhaps the One God of Time itself, YHWH, is one with Set and this is representative of the unification of the hemispheres creating the concept of Time, subduing the 'idols' of the right brain. this could also be seen as the Left hand path in occultism perhaps? the defeating of "god" and becoming ones own master, in a very literal sense! Cheers ❣
