This video looks at the Orlando Magic and how they are building something special by getting Tristan Da Silva and Kentavious Caldwell Pope to surround Paolo Banchero
Wish Magic fans could see how solid this off-season but most just wanna cry because we didn't get the flashy names. That Jonathan Isaac signing is an INSANE steal.
Lmao sliva hasn't played a nba game yet...How much impact did two lottery picks black and jett contribute last year but u think sliva is gonna make us better??? In his first year And we added a roll player in kcp your esthetic about that????😂 Lol 👍 👌
Agreed! KCP has what alot of players that were even available don't have. 2 Rings. I predict a big jump in Jett Howard which gives us two 6"8 shooters with Da Silva. Slide Suggs back to PG with KCP as your front court and that's dangerous
Kept the players who contributed to a 47 win team. Moved the starting two guard to the bench. Added a 2x Champion Starting 2Guard. Drafted an upgrade over Chuma Okeke. Magic had a solid if not “sexy” summer. Maintained cap flexibility, kept draft picks, and traded 0 young guys. This is the type of “boring” summer you want your front office to consistently have. Also l just don’t believe Franz is a 28% shooter. All the indicators are that he should be average at least. I think last year was the outlier. I think Franz will have a nice bounce back season.
Practical basketball fans have seen Magic's growth YOY. We are so accustomed to seeing star players speed date that we have conflated player development with being stagnant. Paul George would have required a max contract and there was no room with Paolo/Franz. Klay has an injury history and KCP is a better option in terms of cost, age and defense. This has been a measured approach to a budding franchise and no sophisticated NBA insider would deny the Magic are a top four seed in the east barring injury. If PB, FW and JS take the next step you could argue they are a potential two seed.
@@confederatetearsaredelicious bucks and 76ers injury prone af and the bucks with doc as Coach.. both will be disappointing like every year. Loosing Hartenstein hurts the Knicks more than it might seem at first.. whos gonna be their center? Robinson with back to back injuries playing the whole year no chance. Orlando might even go for the first seed last year they were able to bully the celtics in the regular season and they got better... Wouldn't be suprise with orlando as top of the east in the regular season next year.
You know who I love on the Magic team? Weltman, Hammond and Mosley! Their decisions behind the scenes has created one success after another without spending a fortune! I wish we had guys like them in our Government!
@@BrentonBannister-gc2pt we need a volume shooter/scorer at guard more than a playmaker which I think Black can become plus add in the fact that Paolo, Franz, and Suggs can all initiate offense and you need less of a true point guard - a la the 90s Bulls, but what they could use is more space to operate and someone who can occupy defenses.
a high volume shooting point/combo guard like Steph Curry, Donovan Mitchell, Anfernee Simons would be ideal, but none are on the market unless Simons or Darius Garland becomes available via trade, but aside from that, Tyus Jones would be the best option and would help a ton I believe. I still think Gary Trent, Jr. would have been a better play than re-signing Gary Harris, but Harris's contract value is quite reasonable and tradable. Let's see what Trent ends up signing for to see whether we could have gotten more value from him - We are very good defensively at guard, we need an offensive boost and can scheme a player like Trent to be effective defensively more than we can make someone be a good offensive player with a scorer and volume shooter mentality
I wish they had gotten Klay (coming from a Warriors fan), and I can't deny that KCP was probably the better pick-up for Orlando at the stages both of those players are at right now.
Boy this was the start of something special I'm telling you. I'm a Lakers fan so I know how important kcp is to A solid team. I really believe in 2 seasons you guys will be top 2 top 3 in the east
@@justindorman6708 Injuries will happen. Also coach mosley doesn't hesitate in switching lineups to better match up with opponents. Maybe KCP will come off the bench and black/suggs will start. We have 2 deep lineup who are very versatile
We are gonna be tough to beat next year. 2x Champ KCP is an elite 3&D player + Paolo, Franz, Suggs, Black getting more experience and training into their roles. They’ve experienced competitive playoff games. Combine that with great regular season success and you have a team that can sneak into the top 4 and getting to the 2nd round
I'm glad we didn't get Klay and Paul George and the reason that is because they wanted too much money. I love the way the front office is handing the money and picking the players to come to the magic. I'm so happy that they bringing the players back from last season and add a new players that fit the team. We have to be patient and let these guys develop their game and show us what they can do before letting them go. That's the way you build a champion team. Orlando magic keep doing what you doing you is all right in my book!!!
I agree with you 100%!!! We need players that want to be here in Orlando and want to win a championship. I love the players that we have now and they want to be here in Orlando. I don't want to keep repeating the past where we pick high standard players and don't win a championship I'm tired of that. It's time for the magic to win a championship I'm ready!!! It's time to put childish ways behind and start playing a man game.
@@efrainsalasjr.6583I agree with you 100%!!! We don't need negativity and childish people on this team. We need people that want to be here in Orlando and wants to play together as a team and to win a championship.
I think the Magic need either Trae Young or Darius Garland to take the next step or even somebody like Tyus Jones can really help this team No disrespect to Palo but I'd rather have him take less of a on the ball creator role and same with Franz
Young and garland will never win a ring in this league. They don’t defend. They will be entertaining and put up stats but when it comes to the semis and finals they will flame out guaranteed
Garland and Simons are still on their teams, so if they are on the trade block, then we are still in play for both, especially with the trade pieces we have on our roster between both valuable and tradable players along with draft capital we still have
the only player that was traded so far that fits that mold is DeJuante Murray. I would have liked him, but of all the above mentioned players, Anfernee Simons would be my first option - so if he gets traded and the Magic aren't one of the teams putting in a serious bid for him, that would be upsetting. Trae Young isn't on the trade block yet, but could be depending on how the season goes. And both he and Garland are terrible defensive players - that's why I prefer Simons with his 6'9" wingspan and high end athleticism. Has far more defensive potential than all the rest of them. Murray wasn't good defensively, but is a leading steals man and has far more potential there too.
@@13cozmik magic have more than enough defense. At end of the day you have to score. And also defenses have to respect your shot. Simon’s brings that. kCP doesn’t move the needle at all.
This how weak NBA today a guy ave. 10 pts can earn 22 million a year Reggie Miller wasn't earning that amount of money as he was the franchise player of the Pacers.😂
KCP had his highest efficiency of his career while guarding the other teams best players over 95% while getting all defensive team votes. How’s that declining?
Lmaooooooo yeah right . This front office is trash ..yeah lets re-sign an often injured JI. He should of been gone already and lets re-sign harris who is absolutely trash . Banchero wont be re-signing . This off-season sucked
