Oh... my... god... this brings back so many memories. I was about 15/16 when this was filmed and I got so many memories of this place before the renovation. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Wow! I remember the Oshawa Centre. I went there before it was renovated. This mall was renovated in 1994, that 1950's themed food court is called City Diner. That food court was built in 1993 when they're renovating the mall. Also, that building is attached to the Oshawa Centre is called the Management Office. That building is attached to the Oshawa Centre was built in 1971. When I went to the Oshawa Centre, this brings back memories.
I’ve been trying to find any trace of the upstairs Famous Players. If I’m remembering right, each theatre had its own facade on the outside, but there’s absolutely no pics anywhere online.
@MyOldTapes I'm the same, really wish there was more high quality media out there of that theater. I really miss going there, the only thing I found was some old pdf file about all the closed theaters in durham region, it contains a low res image of the entrance from the food court.
