Never understand what? All the brothers were underrated by the music industry but a stratospheric success with fans. Fans make an artist successful. Not the music critics. Jay held his own, as did all the brothers. Each brother had their own personality and appeal. I've always preferred intellectuals, someone articulate who also has a wicked sense of humor. Wayne was my favorite.
The Osmonds harmonize perfectly. I believe God gave them a platform to praise God through their music and touch millions. I think this is why they have been going strong for all these years. They have fans they don't even know about who love them. They are a true faith filled family who will always be admired. A fan from Maine. I have been watching and listening to them forever. I was born in 1963 just like Jimmy. I couldn't wait for their show every week.
I just finished watching this video. It brought tears to my eyes! Such a wonderful, wonderful family! Such good people! So talented! Such great members of the Church and an example to all of us! Such family closeness! They’re all so blessed to be in a family together! I love them all so much! They give me hope in humanity!
My husband and I attended the Osmond concert in Merrillville, Indiana in the 80's and can honestly say it was the best ever. I'm so sorry they suffered the way they did but pray they overcame.
To say may God Bless you all. Life is meant to be lived and I for one am glad that you all are finally living it. You have done good work and now is the time to enjoy it in whatever direction you take may the Lord ease your way.
The Osmond family are an amazing one. They have been around forever. They are incredibly talented and have such good values. They are wonderful!!!!!💖💕😘
@@dougfogarty4165 wow you have no idea what you are taking about. It is too bad that your mind is so closed. Whats is interesting is that people like you, if you will just stop hating for a minute, most people realize that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints speaks to the truth. Whatever church or faith you believe in, thats up to you. But dont judge unless you are perfect.
Donny has held my heart since I was 7 years old (in 1971) & always will. I've got such love, admiration & respect for this entire family! ❤️ Love seeing them on their Osmond's World Tour documentary... Soooo exciting to see them live like that! In the Sweden concert clip of all of them singing together I love the way Donny looks over & is singing to Marie. He is such a sweet, loving older brother, always looking out for her. ❤️❤️❤️
That was one of the things I noticed -- she was talking about being the "token girl" in the group, but he was looking over at her like his beloved little sister. Such a sweet look on his face!
I used to watch the Donny and Marie show as an Arab living in the Arab world (Kuwait) then I moved to the USA so excited thinking I would meet and see the Osmonds everywhere…I loved, love and will always love and adore them😉💕🙏✌️😊🥰
Osmond crazy horse's classic song from the seventies remember hearing this song growing up good memories fifty years old still sounds good now good stuff
This made me laugh and cry. This family gave up so much of themselves to make us happy. It is truly touching and heartwarming. Through it all they stayed so humble and loving not only to us, but to each other. They have truly been a blessing in my life and the lives of millions of others.
I’ve been blessed to watch them sing and perform and with gods help I hope they over come there obstacles and live the life’s they should live. They are very inspirational and caring people . Best wishes forever.
I was a teenage fan of Donny and Marie. I had 9 brothers and sisters and both my parents loved it too. We all had popcorn and watched the show. I think the teenage audience was bigger than Donny says. It was a family night show.
Donny and Marie were/are a good couple and that is why they have lasted so long in this business. They are very dynamic and worked well together. It is very obvious that Donny adored and admired his sister and still does. Who wouldn't want a brother like that?
That dog has to be related to my dog. Exactly alike. 49:21 The cutest and best creation ever. Glad to see her rando on this vid. These guys taught me how to sing harmonies. And smile large. 😊
Donny is a great showman and stage presence but it’s kind of a shame that the brothers got left in the shade to some extent because they were actually a brilliant group. They were a great live act and many of the songs they put out still sound great today.
I wonder what sort of career they would have had if Mike Curb hadn't come along and 1- gotten them to sing One Bad Apple, pushing Merrill into his signature sound, and 2- getting Donny to sing bubblegum. Part of me feels like Curb did them a great disservice in pushing Donny into a solo career, but then again, would they have had the kind of worldwide success that they did if he had not? They were all insanely talented -- maybe someone else would have seen that and taken them into rock'n'roll without spinning Donny out into a solo career.
What seems the best path to make them the newest members is to find out where their offices are and have anyone and everyone send actual old fashioned letters telling them how many rockers have come by to say how much they were influenced by the Osmonds. I don't think an online letter would do squat. But getting bags and bags of personal letters with stories of how they Osmonds would awesome! Do something before anyone passes away.
@@terribeck4473 i agree. But i have tried to find out the information. I dont use facebook. Can you or anyone finding out the information. As soon as you do, post it here. We can flood them with letters.
You know what happens with my mum, when I talk about the Osmonds she always Has that fascination, and that obsession of how things are quieter, such punctuation and epicentre of coordinating such things. Thank you. 21:23
I AM SO GLAD 😊 😃 😀 😄 THAT ANDY WILLIAMS SHOW, THAT HE TOOK YOU OSMOND BROTHER, ON HIS SHOW 👋 👏 👍 😀 😉 I WOULD NOT 👏 👍 😀 😉 LOOKS AT 😉 MERRILL OSMOND ❤ 😉 🐻 🐻❄ 🧸 , AND FELL LOVE 😉 😀 WITH MERRILL OSMOND, 🐻 🐻❄ 🧸 XOXO ALWAYS LOVE ❤,
If you rate The osmonds It was particularly interesting, not in a wider sense, just particularly orchestrating the hall rise. It’s wonderful that when they did become as popular as they did not trying to sort the seats, it’s very infatuated to underestimate that tempting fact. 22:41
I WAS( 5)YEARS YOUNGER, OLD ,I HONESTLY AM (2)YEARS YOUNGER THAN MERRILL OSMOND HANDSOME SEXY 😍 😉 CUDDLE 🐻 🐻❄ 🧸 XOXO HUGS 🫂 🤗 ,ALWAYS TOO YOU MERRILL OSMOND, AND ( 9)MONTHS YOUNGER THAN JAY OSMOND TWO YEARS OLDER THAN, DONNY OSMOND NICKNAME PUPPY LOVE
I love the family story.... God gave them the gifts and with Donny at the helm, they all worked together to use the gifts they had. Donny doesn't make the connection, which is obvious to me....HE WAS JOSEPH!!!
Jay was my favorite. I don't understand why they broke up the band they were touring the has so many fans I think that TV show was overrated The Osmond Brothers should have never stopped the band it should have never stopped
I know the real reason that the Osmonds really gained the ire of the establishment it’s because from what I know they were worried about how this would affect people and how very weird. This actually has become eccentric in one place. 23:49
If you overestimate the Osman success, you realise that they are very Without a doubt In obvious sense, people would’ve Admired the Osmonds 20:05 for the basic talent. If you knew how to the achieve, their success, look at how they worked hard and challenge themselves to do basic things you know, challenging yourself, and most, obviously knowing what’s best for discipline is, how are you work out the basic tendencies, a bit of it 20:45
@@chainamarie03 he says something that sounds like “malegro” and that as a drummer he really shouldn’t have been playing then. I wonder if he had vertigo?
Oh come on, Donny! "One Bad Apple" does not sound soulful. It's about as sugary pop as it gets and it sounds exactly like a song created to compete with the Jackson Five's "ABC".
They may have medical problems but could afford the very best drs in the world. Me and many others have medical problems like myself but can't afford squat. I'd rather not have been born IF I were to have these parents. Seems everything was about $$$ and pushing their talented kids into making more and more money and into such weird cultists.
@@chainamarie03 That they have the money that they worked enormously hard for to afford the best medical care and by your own admission you do not possess the same money. Life is unfair, but it sounds bitter to make a comment about their circumstances versus yours.
@@dewarsbramangus when you hear and read the brothers have said I'm not far wrong. I def think they were talented kids but they were push....and pushed hard. Of course I'm no where near what $ they've accumulated. But a good 90% of ppl most likely have more then me....u think I've nothing else to be "bitter"? LDS are a cult, dispute that!
up at 4.30 am,chores, school, studio and bed for years…then 3 shows a day.No thanks! These kids did NOT have a good childhood. The said themselves that they were lonely, worked like slaves.
