I was fortunate enough to meet George and Olive back in the 70s. The "kids" were busy on stage. They were among the nicest people I have ever met, and I'm sure Marie & all the boys are, too. Congratulations to all for their long, and continuing, careers making the rest of us smile. 😊
Alan,Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie & Jimmy...plus Virl and Tommy: Respect, thanks, appreciation and love! Great job, George and Olive. What a family of lovely, lovely people. God bless! What a reunion you'll have one day!
How beautiful is it to know that these siblings began singing for the public to help buy the two eldest hearing aids? A beautiful gesture and goal turned into massive fame !
When you are 14 and into Sabbath you don't pay much attention to the Osmond's music. After recently viewing some live Osmond's videos from the early 70's, a few things have become apparent. These guys can play. The songs and music underneath the sugary coating are really good. They kill it on stage and genuinely love doing it. Wow, have I just become an Osmond's fan?
@@mikefrank6319 Yes, and I can relate!!! I love Sabbath, so many metal bands, plus tons of Rock!! You wouldnt think I would love the Osmonds...But think its about ones undenieable connection to the songs, immense talent, and stage performance...!!! I only saw them twice, Wow...OMG they can play many instruments...sing and play like crazy, and stage personna Unmatched!!!

Excellent entertainers I grew up with the Osmonds the Osmond group Donny Osmond my sister was in love with him and Donny & Marie show they should do a real reality TV show
I watch this more than I should!!😅 Jimmy Osmond is the only boy/man I have ever crushed on ,who is younger than me.(2 yrs). Could watch him dance every day of my life!
I've known this song since I was about 5, I can remember driving home with my album in the back window, idolizing it. I loved these guys with all of my heart, Jimmy wasn't with them back then, I think he was too young. Neither was Marie. Alan (was on piano) has had health problems, but the rest, from left to right are Jimmy, Merrill, Donny, Marie, Jay & Wayne.
So I've got this buddy, who was always trashing the Osmonds. A couple of years back before COVID he takes his girlfriend (who he hates and is still with) and goes to Vegas to see "The Donnie and Marie Show" at the Flamingo. Comes back to work -- HE TOTALLY LOVED IT. Won't shut up about it for two months. He and the same girlfriend who he still hates ("I'm breakin' up with her next week. You'll see") went and saw the show again before it closed in 2021. He even bought some merchandise. Last week I found out he had "Soldier for your Love" on his iPhone playlist. I sorta liked the Osmonds, but not like him. I'm kind of worried about the guy now.
ME..ME! I knew it! I am two years older, but he has been IT for me. I admit to having slight crushes on Merrill and Jay for a hot minutes, but I always returned to Jimmy! He is so dang handsome in this special, and those dance moves of his still give me chill bumps!
When I was younger people used to mistake me for one of the Osmonds. When I was a teenager and in my early 20’s I looked just like Jimmy Osmond and people would ask for my autograph. They always seemed disappointed when I told them I wasn’t him
