Well don't you start with 5 worker ants around the queen? So you could make such strats without making a single worker.

Well when you have to feed workers to the tube it makes things go faster and also when there is a pile of food around and your soldiers have to fight I'd rather not have the colony starve mid fight. Almost forgot to mention that someone has to bring eggs around the nest so yeah.

After seeing this, I wanted to try insane difficulty with only workers, army ants, army ant majors, and, did it in the first try. Really wasn't expecting for that to happen ;-;

Of course it was really hard at the start, but once you get your numbers up and have majors, there's no point fighting anymore because the get in rage mode and deal tremendous amounts of damage (as you saw when the queen got her HP back she immediately died anyways)
