Why do I have the feeling husk was forced into this by Al?

This kinda represents how I view Al and Husk's relationship. My head-canon is that Husker is Alastor's first and best friend and probably was when they were alive. Husk is the only one in the hotel (besides probably Niffty) that isn't scared of Al at all and calls him out on his shit.

Husk: you think im a clown Alastor: .....Maybe.

When the song said “The Other Side” I was thinking “ Friends on the Other Side” from Princess and the Frog XD

Alastor was born around the 1890s-1900s, and died in 1933 in his early to mid 30’s. Husk was probably born around the same time as Alastor, because he died in the 1970’s at the age of 60-70. This meaning they would have existed in each other’s time lines, even if they died 40+ years apart. Probably even being the same age or having only a short difference. My theory is that since they both co-existed, they must’ve crossed lines while on earth. They both met each other at a bar, since Alastor does drink heavy liquors like whiskey. They became friends, good friends at that, but somewhere in between the timeline Alastor proposed him an offer. Husk’s life is, well, sad. Alastor must’ve noted on that and maybe made him a deal of some sort. Husk accepted it, and therefore sold his soul, and now his soul is compromised to Alastor in hell. :))

This is the perfect representation of Alastor and Husk’s relationship AND I LOVE IT

I have a theory regarding the relationship between alastor, husk, and nifty What if alastor secretly believes in Charlie's idea in redemption for demons? That can explain why he brought husk and nifty with him into the hotel as "staff." He knows/thinks he can't be redeemed so he tries to redeem husk and nifty instead. This can also be interpreted as alastor's way to "experiment" to see if Charlie's idea is actually possible, which can also give him hope for his own redemption as well. Just a thought tho 😀

This song really represents both of them accurately! It not only represents their relationship,(I say “relationship” because I’m sure their backstories intertwine at some point) but it’s really similar to their personalities as well! All in all, this was the perfect song for Alastor and Husk. I loved watching/listening to this! 😁
