I love how in this animatic, Vinnie is distraught over her friends being hurt, while in the actual webcomic, she's currently the exact opposite.

i love how in every animatic of this song they decide to go to "the other side" or whatever the backstory is, but here it's forced, it's something completely different, and the setup is beautiful, so is the backgrounds, i adore it!

The tension between Vinnie and Ditch being immediately destroyed when Stone and Skip are brought in was....wow. SO COOL

Me during the animatic: YEEESSS Me at the ending: NOOOOOOO

Dude I just realized that in the actual pilot. Maggot turns into a biblically accurate angel, when he does he rewards Stone, Vinnie, and Skip with hickory beans. But! Maggot also gives them three cents that look like the 3 coins that the dude in the animatic has. Is it possible that this is foreshadowing? Perhaps we may see this guy in future videos and maybe the creator will make Ramshackle an actual series!

Seeing more Vinny being her beautiful self and turning down a skeezy teeth mcknife boi is what I live for

OhmygodOhmygodOhmygod Okay, for starters, still love your artstyle. The character designs are also very appealing. The spin as Vinnie was going down, the laugh, everything was well animated/well drawn. I especially liked that little subtle animation where Ditch rubbed his finger after seeing Vinnie with the ring. I've never seen a The Other Side animatic like this before! By that I mean, an animatic where it's like the character is pretty much forced to take the deal. Great work!

Wow, Hugh Jackman's voice really goes well with Ditch's design and character.

I know many people use this song for animatic (and I totally would, it's such a great song for playing around with character dynamics), but yours still feels fresh and exciting. Really good character design and camera angles. I loved your OCs since your thesis film, and it's so nice to get to know a bit more about them and the world they live in.

Let me gush over every second of this animatic First of all, VINNIE'S SPARKLE EYES when she looked over to Ditch while they're going up, I shipped it Second of all, Vinnie's exit Gosh darn, I love every second of it The twirl, climbing over a tredmil, walking backwards just to face him again And she even stole DITCH'S PRECIOUS RING HAHA BJTCH LoveloveloveloveLOVE their smug faces Thirdly, holy shirt The ending was not called for can we take a moment to internalize that Ditch absolutely KNEW she would reject him CUZ WHAT IF VINNIE ACCEPTED THE OFFER then how would Ditch be able to explain to her that he hired his henchmen to beat the SkippingStone™️ unconsious UNLESS HE'S JUST A DECK HEAD but I'm taking my chances and am calling that Ditch and Vinnie know each other so well that they can tease each other That is all, continue scrolling

Ok happy rant time: First of all, love the art style and animation as usual. I really enjoy the little details like ditch rubbing the finger that had the ring on and both of their smug faces. Also love that Vinnie was barely fazed by being threatened with a knife since this is probably somewhat normal for street kids. Secondly, the characterization in this is amazing. This animation alone tells us a lot about Ditch and what he's willing to do to get his way and l get the impression that Ditch and Vinnie have some history by the way they were interacting. The animation also shows how laid back Vinnie is most of the time by the way she started leaving but it also shows how much she really cares for Skip and Stone by her reaction (loved the way her eyes moved in fear), her entire mood changes as soon as she sees them and looks terrified and I love it so much. Finally, l love the way you used the music. I know I'm not the first person to say this but l haven't seen any other animations to this song that take the story this way. Most of them have the character choose to join but Vinnie was threatened and saw her friends in trouble so she didn't have a choice. I love that lines like "you could finally live a little" is Ditch threatening her rather than making her an offer and that she never explicitly agrees but is clearly left with no choice so we can assume that she does. Great animation as usual, you're amazing at story telling and I really enjoy your animations and your comic

Honestly that would make a great villain for ramshackle, would love to see a run down mafia boss like character.

I can’t express enough how just…. Y’know what, I’m not even gonna try. I will say, this did such a great job at making me want m o r e . More of these lovely dynamics, more insight into the gang, and just… GAHHHHH EVERYTHING- In short, this was scrumdidilydumptious for my eyeballs to feast on, and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

You know, normally, i hate animatics. They get left unfinished, a beautiful vision never finished. But with this, this is the video that finally got me to subscribe. It also led me to choose storyboard artist as my career path. Every camera angle was the best you could have possibly chosen. It left off on a very satisfying note, still a cliffhanger, but also providing enough story to get an audience hooked. You could already tell the kind of background each of the characters have. Not enough to make watching any future episodes with these characters arbitrary, but enough to taste their flavor. And, last of all, this storyboard is already good enough that it feels finished, as if it is already good enough and any future improvements are just out of good work ethic. It might feel as though i'm just throwing out unnecessary praise towards this creator, but i want you comment-readers to notice this. Thank you if you read this all the way.

I saw the pilot because it kept popping up in my recommendations. At first, I didn't watch it but I'm so glad I did. I've fallen in love with the characters and I love the family dinamycs these three have. The ending just made me want to see how Vinnie would affront this situation and also made me want to see how Skip and Stone fought against the thugs. God damn it, I want to see more of these three! I really hope you continue working in this because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's only become attached to this pilot!

Okay,I can’t get over how sharklike Ditch’s design is. Your OCs and style in general are just, *chef’s kiss*

Whenever I hear this song, I always feel like there is a more sinister side to it, and it’s cool to see an animatic that really shows how dark this song can be taken.

Yk what, imma just: Vinnie rushes over to Stone and Skipp, without realising, Ditch grabbed her and gagged her before dragging her unconcious back to a backroom where he locked her up. A few hours pass, and Stone and Skipp awaken, and the whole building was empty with no sign of Vinnie, during this time, Vinnie was being tortured in the backroom, but being gagged, she couldn't scream in pain or speak at all. After a while, Ditch's henchmen ( the ones torturing her ) decide to drug her so she falls asleep/ unconscious again, but for longer. ( At this point, Vinnie was basically had cuts everywhere on her body, they were fresh too ) The henchmen leave the room, little did they know Stone and Skipp were hiding behind the door. After the henchmen leave, then Stone and Skipp enter without them noticing, only to see a beaten up, bleeding and unconscious Vinnie. After making sure that the henchmen were gone gone, they start to unlock Vinnie from the chains. They manage to free her, but she was still unresponsive and unconcious. They were forced to pick ip Vinnie and carry her out of the building so they could take care of her wounds. After doing that, they return to the Alley, she was still unconscious and it had been several hours after. They all fall asleep and Stone and Skipp both awake the next day, still with an unconscious Vinnie. The rest of that day was spent trying to wake Vinnie up. Another day passes and she still hasn't woken up, on the third day, she starts to show signs of waking up, like turning or rolling onto her side, but she didn't wake up. Finally, on the fourth day, she wakes up, a bit disorientated and dizzy. Stone and Skipp only realise once they wake up and Vinnie was sitting up in the middle of them, she was still drowsy, yawning and rubbing her eyes. After the realisation hits them, they embrace her at the same time into a hard hug, but they pull back quickly, remembering her wounds that were still healing. After the great reunion, they go on with their daily lives, sure, Vinnie still has problems with her scars, but its not that big of a deal, for now. A few years later, mid-day during one of their schemes, Vinnie starts to feel light-headed and it shows, stumbling and struggling to stay awake, Stone and Skipp notice this, but they pass it as her having a long day. This goes on for weeks, it getting worser each time, at one point, she stumbles then faints, collapsing but Stone normally catches her in time. After weeks of this continuous behaviour, they decide to leave Vinnie behind in the alley to rest when they go out on heists and other stuff, so she can rest, but, they also leave her unprotected, since they didn't think about it alot. One day, they came back and realised Vinnie was following them, once they ask why she was, she replies with that she didn't trust them.

I like to imagine he didn’t actually beat them up, he just like. Paid them to pretend to be unconscious

Such delightful drama and story telling! Really twisted the lyrics to fit your narrative, especially with how the last few lines become ominous and forbidding instead of tempting! I want a TV show of this, like a lot of the episodes are a slice of life and then we start building an over arching plot

The part where they're on the thing attacked to the rope and going up, I had a similar idea to that with this song for a story I want to start someday, except it's later in the song when it happens. That part really stood out to me. I feel like this is a perfect representation of the fact that people can have similar ideas and not be copying each other.

OKay sO- May I just say that, holy shit, you're amazing at expressions and poses, and clearly very comfortable in your own artstyle. The storyboarding here is immaculate, with even subtle movements that aid the expressions carefully drawn and timed out. I'm very excited to meet this character in the webcomic, and see the canon dynamic situation between Vinne and this new character Ditch. Also.... Exciting things in the future, you say? I'm hyped-
