i still come back to this and your 13 pro review from time to time. like truly, one of the most beautiful and creative tech videos on youtube - you redefined a new standard here and i hope you’re cooking something more
I got my Pixel 6 Pro three days ago and I watched a lot of reviews beforehand and am still trying to compare my experience with what I'm seeing on YT. The experience from user to user seems to be wildly inconsistent. I personally have no issue with the battery performance other than its slow charging speed (I come from a OP 7T, so I'm probably just spoiled). Things like the lack of face unlock (gets probably added later) or the oversaturated display (changing display modes did the trick for me) or the huge size (I use a case and a finger strap on the back anyway) aren't really concerns for me. The cameras, front and back, and the photos and videos they put out are simply amazing. I think the phone will get optimized over the coming months, however a company like Google should be able to optimize the phone for its release. Other than that I simply think it is a new direction for Pixels and the first implementation of their truly integrated approach and I'm looking forward to how this phone and its follow-ups are going to evolve.
Your comment is what I was looking for from this video. And from the comments, but it seems most comments focus on the aspect ratio and how much they love his transitions, effects, and editing. I've been using pixels since the first one and I've never had a complaint. It's been very difficult to get a proper objective review of this phone. I think reviewers are over thinking it. Some people just want a phone that works well and that they're familiar with. I'm that kind of user so I'm going to buy the pixel anyways. This video didn't help my decision making process. But ya, great editing
Hey Brandon, I don't know what's wrong with youtube but comment get's invisible everytime. Wish this times it reaches you. The thing I mentioned in that comment is that we are developing RAW video for android smartphone, RAW (DNG) full uncompressed 4:4:4 with tons of Dynamic Range that you can even bring back the clipped highlights from a +2.0ev shot!! No fakeness as there is no algorithm or encoder compressing or processing it.
I couldn't disagree more with the first part of this review. I feel like the design is wonderful, has a sense of Google's new direction and I absolutely love it. I'm shocked he's saying this
Ok, a couple of things: 1) Your sponsor takes are perfect and just as enjoyable as the rest of your video 2) it would be cool to see a short film of yours showcasing these and other devices. The device is in the background of the story but very obviose and present as to how it's used. Your video style is very against the grain of RU-vid and I love it! #talent
I come back to this video every once in a while to remind myself of how cinematically perfect a video can be. Never getting over how amazing this video is. The aspect ratio, the music, the video, and the review all make this video a whole journey which is so amazing to watch. I'll be giving this video view time even 5 years down the line, you're the best Brandon❤
The battery drain while the phone is idle was a bug and it was fixed with the December update. My phone drained like 3% last night while I was asleep. Also the battery seems to be just lasting so much longer overall, but I've noticed with pixels they "learn" your usage overtime and just generally gets better after like 3-4 weeks.
Good review. It echoes the same concerns I'm having with the 6 Pro. I'm truly hoping the feature drop/update fixes some of the issues I have otherwise it's going to me switching back to the iPhone.
You have a gift for composition. The use of colours and prisms give all the product shots an ethereal quality to them! Elivating them from just mere consumables. Equally bold, is the choice to have such a close of you when talking. But I love it! It feels so initmate, like im actually hearing review from someone I know. And that was literally the most memorable ad I've seen in a looooong time.
Ill be the 700th person to say this but this is such a pretty video But also I didn’t think about the small compromises like the feel and the saturated screen. Thanks for being the first one to point that out Also it’s brown leather
Awesome video as always @Brandon.... PIxel 6 has a lot going for it but its a lot of rush to get it right in all the dimensions. Awesome camera with 1" censor but can't make use of it completely. Brand new chip architecture but no complete optimization etc
Had to pause the video just to come down and comment on how amazing that intro was. You somehow continue to evolve your skills far beyond what I thought was possible.
Watching this video for 4th time in this year no for the mobile but for the cinematography of Brandon 1. 1:1 aspect ratio 2. Anamorphic style video 3. Vintage feel Only Brandon can handle
Thank you for the video. But I don't agree. The telephoto is so good. You can adjust the screen saturation in the settings. Software features are amazing.
A good point about the portrait mode. It's no longer needed. But overall, you have had a completely different experience to me with this phone. It's almost strange. A lot of these issues that you have had, I have not experienced. I would say, it's been great and I have preferred it to my S21 ultra and my iPhone 13. It's funny
The sad thing is Tensor which doesn’t even come close to an A11 chip from 2017 was ready over a year ago but Google delayed it in favor of shipping it in a phone with a radical new design. This phone wasn’t rushed but it sure feels like it is.
Dude you’re so talented with videomaking. Like a whole next level. I think you should apply this talent into something different than tech review. Take this video as an example: it’s SO BEAUTIFUL in everything but at the end you are just reviewing a damn phone..like so huge and full of cinematography, but it’s just the review of a phone. To me it seems such a waste of potential. If you find something else to show, like tiny movie or idk what, you could literally blow up. Your are very talented. If I make some videomaking things in my life I’ll definitely come to your channel and get inspiration. Also if you make a course on how to videomake I’d definitely pay for that, you’re hot damn fire🔥🔥🔥🔥
