This was so cool to watch. I did the overland last year with half my year 10 class. When we went we were right in front of a blizzard, it was so snowy a group behind us had to be helicoptered out! it was very cool at Bert nickles hut in the snow.

Did this walk 2 weeks ago and we set up our tent right where you had in waterfall valley hahaha. beautiful hike. It looked to me as you didnt go to Cradle MT summit and Barns bluff?

Woww Ashley what’s an amazing experience thanks heaps to share it with us, this video inspired us to make it too. We want to ask u few things, one is where did u stay at Laucenton?, two: u mention the sleeping back was not warm enough... what do recommend? -5 will do the job? And last can u guide us where to buy the soy milk powder here in Australia??? Well thanks in advance and we do really appreciate ur guidance!!! Btw very nice all your vlog videos....

I would go to a place like Macpac or K2 and just tell them what your plans are, time of year, etc. Good quality stuff isn't cheap but makes a huuuuuuuuge difference.

That would have been autumn. April or March. You can tell because the Fagus has turned orange ready to drop it's leaves for winter. :)

Hey Dion, my weather was pretty bad, so ended up rushed to get between camps before storms set in. I did one track to a waterfall at one point (can’t recall name) but aside from that I stuck to the main track. Being by myself also I felt it beat to play it safe. Rain or shine though, it’s all spectacular 🙌🏼
