You are comparing two different worlds. You feel very safe in the south of Italy because crime often goes through them. If you are one of their target, you wouldn't fell safe anywhere in the world.

The images of Italy in this video look Nothing like that of a European Nation, much less the Italy that I know. In fact, these images look more like a 3rd world country. It's Truly Amazing how Vastly different southern Italy is, compared to the rest of Italy.

what about the business of mafia-fighting ? Indeed gangs and drug dealers in the USA are more organized and dangerous. I feel more safe when visiting south italy than ANYWHERE in the USA. What about too many people wanting to make their normal job of fighting criminality something more heroic than anywhere else ?
