David Hanson i can’t believe it’s been a year! This day was one I will never forget for sure! It’s pretty scary getting up to do a Tedx talk but totally worth it! Thanks for asking! Hope you are staying well through the Covid
Thank you for such uplifting messages. As an 8-year CRPS warrior with right leg CRPS, i can honestly say it takes every amount of courage just to get out of bed each and every day and face the world. You are an inspiration to all!!
Grace Fairbank thank you for sharing this!!! I know this will help so many! I just suggested to a friend that before they take another anti anxiety pill that they try breathing exercises. It worked! They stopped taking the pills!
Ahh! I feel so lucky to have caught this LIVE 😍. Well, not live in person but live as in live streamed. Thank you for being so courageous and sharing your journey. You open the hearts of many to be resilient. Also, you look so incredibly vibrant! I love you!! And will always be here supporting you on this journey we call life 🌱🤗.
Angie Sanchez thank you so much for watching live Angie! It meant the world to me to see if on your story on Instagram! Thank you for your amazing support and wonderful friendship!!!❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
It wasn’t too long at all! It flew by and I would definitely recommend going whenever you can! I learned so much from each speaker! It was unlike any event I have ever been too! I can’t recommend going enough!
Man this should be seen by way more people. I watch TED Talks all the time and this is way better than a lot I see with lots of views. You wanna know how tough women are? Watch this.
This is the only good ted talk I've heard about chronic pain, resilience and advice. Wanna Know why? Because it was done by a person who lives with it. NOt by a narcissistic doctor with god complex, empty old data and one single exprience.
I was looking for a TED distraction as I am so scared right now living in LA and all the riots, and I find this. This really saved me tonight as I can't sleep. WOW!
Real Question…. When you wrote this post, you were very worried. My question is, did ANYthing you worried about a year ago when you wrote this comment EVER come true?
Ehsaan Kumer it has been a painful journey but PACER is how I manage to forge ahead! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and for your kind comment! I sure appreciate you!

Wow! Just watched this while at work Amberly and God you are truly a Servant Leader in our world! :) So RESILIENT sand STRONG! So much to learn from you! Grateful to have you as a friend, mentor and sister in my life... God bless you and your family always Amberly :)
So inspiring Amberly! This is proof once again that we must all listen to our inner truth and not give our power to others--especially those that are considered 'experts' WE are our own expert. Countless Blessings!
Roger Bisby you bet! I’m so grateful you took the time to watch and leave such a kind comment! It’s my honor and pleasure to respond to you! A huge thanks!

This is the best TED talk I've ever listened to. Everyone should hear this message. I'm sharing with everyone I know. What an incredible tool to utilize to shift perspective, work through trauma and come out on the other side, thriving and appreciative for our life journey - no matter how many ups and downs we've had. Thank you for this timeless message, Amberly!
Amazing Amberly.... you know the first time I have listened to you was at Ed Mylett show and I was really struck at your story. From there I have started to follow you on spotify, youtube because I want to learn from your guests and of course from yourself. Grateful for your sharing.
This woman is a hero. I honestly can't imagine carrying on like she is after what she's been through - this talk and her honesty is going to bring a lot of hope to people. What a legend.
Amazing! I am currently suffering from CRPS from a terrible leg accident. It’s been so depressing and painful. This was inspiring. Wish I could actually speak to her and discuss what worked for her. I would love to get to place of hope like she’s at now. 🙏🏼❤️
Raini Thacker wow! I’m so touched and so honored by your kind words! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for watching my talk! I’m so happy it resonated with you!
Exactly what I needed to hear today. I’ve been trying to explain to others why I do the physical things I do. Why I push myself. It doesn’t matter what I do I will be in pain so why not do something positive...just pace myself. 😁 Brilliant as always. You voice what I am thinking. Learning how to rest also...I’m just relieved I am alive to learn how to. I’m finally learning patience.
Erika Logsdon you and me both! That whole patience thing is something I’m learning too! I’m so good at it but learning! Thank you for being my sister warrior! You are so brave and so strong!❤️🙏🏻
"my pain has been my biggest teacher" ... those are the words of a resilient and strong human. not everyone has the ability to carry on like that, but the ones that do inspire the ones that struggle. this talk gave me a lot, thank you.
3rd time I have seen this, and I will again, she is a real mentor for all people. And at this crazy time, it is good to have heroes like this, Stop and watch Amberly and hear her story...
Go Big Or Go Home oh I will have to look up Robyn now! Thank you for that suggestion!! I love working with people and seeing how we can support each other! I appreciate you taking the time to watch! It was such an honor to do a TEDx and a day I will never forget 🙏🏻
"Ok doctor.. Let’s save all those complex procedures, hours of hard labour, expensive medical kits and medicines.. Hack this off and give me a lightest sexiest prosthesis i can afford"
Look Amberly, your TED talk is already 5 years and it still inspires people and definitely it has helped me to accept something in my life that was really hard to accept. You can't imagine the power of your speech and the good influence you have on me. I'm graduating in my MBSR course from Palouse Mindfulness Course and I can proudly say that I have really achieved something very important in my life, something that makes a difference, because of your video and other materials in the course. Thanks a lot. I wish you all the best for your future!
I have this 13 years now. Glad to find a TED talk on it. A lot of people don’t have the ability to keep going like her. I’ve met tons of them. Most are stuck in bed and unable to do any of this.
You are amazing, I watch Les Browne, Tony Robbins and a bunch of others and you are as easily as good as them. And I don't think any of them could have gone through what you did. I am a follower now.
Inspire Me oh thank you so much! I am so honored, flattered and completely humbled to even be in the same category as them! Thank you! I so appreciate you listening to my talk!❤️🙏🏻
I know of one lady who said migraines are more painful than childbirth. I would agree. Arthritis can be that bad too. Who knew? It's a ten with acut movement of pain (actually it's a 13, but they won't let me report that - a migraine is 15) I may not be able to have the joint replacement and with what they're doing with pain meds, I'm going to suffer for the rest of my life? That's unacceptable.
Amberly said: "for me rest is similar to quit. And I don't want quit." I learned to rest. Due my way had changed. The war in my head just showed a white flag. And I learned to rest. Maybe now my mission is other. And now I can use the past to support me. But looking forward and enjoying other things in my life! Thank God and Amberly for the life had handed her limons and she made a limonade then. I enjoy so much listening to you Amberly. And wish you the best!
3:27 Same thing we patient's call Trigeminal Neuralgia. TN is also a nerve problem from the trigeminal nerve being abutted by an artery in my brain causing nerve pain typically on the right side of the face. It sucks lol. :) Great Speach!
