This is one of the most beautiful themes ever. I was in my kitchen while someone else in my house was watching The Pacific on DVDs, and I had to go into the living room when this theme started playing because the music drew me there and into the show.

My pop personally requested this to be played at his funeral after watching the pacific. He was a veteran of the pacific. Although he was not American, which is what The Pacific Show is about, he did fight the Japanese in Burma and India (he was British like myself)and he often would recall during our watch of the Pacific that the hardships were very similar in that theatre of the war. Hans Zimmer touched the heart of my grandfather late in his life because of the Pacific so much he personally amended his own will to have this song played during his cremation. It moves me because it moved him, I do believe the first time he heard it at the start of episode 1 he shed a few tears. Gone but never, ever, forgotten. All the veterans who fought that terrible war for our freedoms. I salute you 🫡

3 tours in Vietnam, 14 weeks in VA hospital. Lost friends there. I’m choked up hearing this music. Man, can I feel it to the core.

It's sad that the youth of today don't understand what our greatest generation sacrificed for us. Maybe they don't even care. We have become a selfish nation and are very ungrateful.

A beautiful and outstanding theme song for a TV show. The Band of Brothers main theme is still awesome too, but this one is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Great work to everyone who made the song and show. As a veteran I am always moved by this song and the sacrifices of my comrades and our countrymen.

I love this Band of Brothers and The Pacific is my favourite ww2 miniseries also the pacific was filmed in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 where I live this was a great performance. ❤❤

Absolutely beautiful! ❤ I have a question though, and it's probably a dumb one but idk much about orchestra music, if the musicians have the sheet music in front of them, why do they need a composure in front of them?

They still find the graves of Marines buried on Tarawa yet today.

It’s much better when played with Brass Instruments.

One of the cellos are too loud and a bit off tune. My musical ear couldn't bare it. Otherwise very nice.

Everytime I play this song it reminds me of the galantly and how brave the Filipino soldiers and American soldiers who fought side by side in world war 2 in the Pacific region specially in the Philippines during japanesse occupation ' it's such a wonderful piece that is the pacific theme , yeah I love it
