I really hope that helped someone! Please use my link below if you plan on signing up! I would greatly appreciate it!!!
For those of you who do not work a W-2 Direct Depoist job or get paid in cash! I will recommend that you use www.Roomshare.com or Facebook Marketplace
On that website you can find people renting out their homes and you can personally message them and create a deal for your stay!
Biggest Padsplit Pros: A never changing bill, Your Own Room, A chance to get some socialization when you get home (if you go to an extended stay, it's just you by yourself), Having Amenities that are really nice, and amazing customer service
Biggest Padsplit Cons: Parking is a nightmare when you have a full house, The kitchen is a nightmare if you have JUST 1 nasty roommate, Cleaning is something that will always be a struggle
Is it worth it! Yes it is! If you can't afford the additional money for an apartment or maybe you are a single person who likes to move around.
I've met some interesting people here and gained alot of positive experiences!!
Thank you For Watching! Please subscribe and drop me a comment!! I would love to answer questions!

A shared kitchen is one thing but a shared bathroom?
@GahJah
@GahJah 7 дней назад
@trepapi6539 that is correct! Some rooms do have a private bathroom but it cost more. Most ppl are willing to share the bathroom for the lower price

I was led to believe the room was going to be clean it wasn't I had to do it myself but everything was dirty the microwave was filthy the refrigerator the stove top so if I gonna stay here I have to clean it I was led with false info to move into this place they feed off your desperation.

@@GahJah thanks! I know it might be a little more, but why not select a PadSplit with a private mini fridge to avoid food conflict? So my 3 takeaways from your video as a prospective host is… 1) no fridge in kitchen… instead put a decent size mini fridge plenty large for one person in every room… 2) ALL cabinets in kitchen + bath not only get numbered by the room; each person also gets dedicated kitchen and bathroom cabinets and drawers. How would it be dedicated without other members digging in? Easy… a simple combination lock 🔒. So for example Room 1 gets let’s say 2 bathroom drawers and 2 kitchen drawers with a unique lock and unique combination. Room 2, 3 , etc also get it. So if you want to store your TP 🧻, soaps, etc in the bathroom it’s safe. Also in the kitchen you’d even store your unique glasses and dishes and do your own dishes so it’s always clean to your own standards and kept locked. 3) Each room gets their own cooling and heating mini split system instead of the main central AC system and members can adjust as they please. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on all of this? especially the lock system and if you’d be willing to pay a tad bit more for these additional comforts if offered to you on a listing? Is there anything else a prospective host can do to give you a better experience? Thanks!
@GahJah
@GahJah 16 дней назад
@edwardg6206 so for first takeaway. There is some issues with that. Typically a mini fridge isn't good enough for storing meats and some ppl don't cook right away so a freezer is still necessary. Also, it is a bit inconvenience to have to go to room for all food items. I think the best way to do this is to have 2 Fridge in the kitchen that is numbered off by room #. That I'd be willing to pay a little extra for. For the 2nd one. Codes on cabinets in kitchen would be a blessing lol. I do see how it would make the bathrooms amazing but I would say u would attract more females( which they usually get the most expensive room in the house) as from what I seen these guys carry very little with them. Would I be willing to pay more for the kitchen cabinets with locks heck yea but the bathrooms nah. I got like 3 towels and all my toiletries fit in a single drawer, but I could see somehow wanting to pay for that as it increases privacy. For the last thing, HECK YES! My room is on the 2nd floor and when they set the thermostat to 75 degrees it reads from the 1st floor so it's nice and cool down there and it's a blaze up here plus I have a large windows and this is Texas. Definitely, I see any member paying more for the a/c thing!
@GahJah
@GahJah 16 дней назад
@edwardg6206 Also, I recommend adding a cleaning service fee. Say it's $100 for a cleaner to come once a month. Split it between all the 6 or 7 ppl and divide into the weekly cost because nobody wants to clean the bathroom because they know someone else can do it. I would throw money at the landlord if he could talk everyone here into it.

@@GahJah So for the mini fridge… they start at I believe 3.1 cubic feet (that’s too small)… I’m thinking of doing 6-7 cubic feet which would be a combo fridge + freezer 😉 so you’d have plenty of space for everything including meats and ice cream. I can see how it would be a bit inconvenient though to grab stuff from your room to take to the kitchen to prepare meals but it would solve the issue of people taking your stuff. If it were a larger 6-7 cubic feet combo fridge + freezer, would you still require a full size shared fridge in the kitchen or would that suffice? I’m just trying to do everything I can to cut down on conflict so members are happy. I’m trying to think… if I were to live in a PS, what would I like? and the thought of having to share a fridge… and even share cabinets and the same dishes doesn’t appeal to me. I’d personally leave 😂 and search for a private fridge and if possible private drawers… that’s how I came up with those solutions. How much more would you be willing to pay for week for those solutions? just wondering… So for example in the market I’m looking to work rooms start at around $175 per week… given a private fridge + combo locked private cabinets and drawers + arguably the best 100% control over heating and cooling in your room… where would be your pain point to stop 🛑 + $25? so from $175 to $200…? + $45? $175 to $220…? + $75? $175 to $250…? another level? Honestly, I’m doing this more so for the comfort of members than money since that’s the way I’d personally want it but a bit extra funds to cover my expenses would be helpful. Thanks!

@tasundrastephens That's actually a really good way to do it! A guy who was here for a month is a missionary, and he goes around the US using a padsplit to help him spread the word. Definitely cheaper than a hotel and safer than an extended stay

Can you ask the host about pets before you move in? I have 2 cats i cannot part with but i dont wanna bother others since my cats like to roam ( id do all the cleaning after them and food and litter obviously)
@GahJah

@KingTragedy27 ngl! Due to the nature of padsplit. Most host won't take pets, but I would look on Roomshare.com because you can create a deal directly with a home owner rather than going through a middle man applicant

@phillipedwards2500 u sure can! I actually do Lyft and uber and live in here. Once ur making some decent money on those apps it should be fine. I would say like $400 - $600 a week! If u do decide to use padsplit please use my link 🙏 I'd be very grateful! Any other questions?

I got approved and all but i need more info on the car registration part thats holding me back from doing it. What info do they actually require of the car when you enter that info bc mines isnt up to date yet and i need to know how strict they are about that. You able to show a blank version of that section of registration in video

@GahJah 2 месяца назад
@maliisadrable5994 well you technically don't need a car to live in a padsplit. I've had many roommates that used Uber. Just avoid the car part and sign up. Then later on u can put it in

How much does it cost to move in fees included
@GahJah
@GahJah Месяц назад
@phillipedwards2500 great question! If you decide to pay the application fee and move in fee on day one then it will be around $150 - $300 depending on how high the host made the move in fee. However, they do offer a payment plan where they separate the move in fee intl 4 payments that are added to ur regular weekly rent! If u do go and get one, would really appreciate the link use 🙏

@GahJah

@jyudomassan When you apply they will ask you to link your bank accounts that you get paid into! As long as ur making a decent amount with uber/door dash and regularly deposting it into your accounts, it will work! It may disqualify you for more expensive rooms though like $200+ a week If the consistency of payment isn't high enough.
