Hi John, nice job on the quads there! At 8:56 remember that in Bonus Poker Deluxe, you need to keep inside straights with zero, two, or three high cards. Your EV when you held KJ was 44.5% but 46.8% if you held KJT9. At 10:39 you did hold 2356 correctly, which you would never do in regular Bonus.
@@johnsworldofvideopoker In the future, I’d like us to have a DDB vs Bonus Poker, Double Super Times Pay video. That would be a lot of fun 😀 Hope to see you at Pala later this month.
Always a good day when you post new content, looking forward to seeing the rest of the last draw. I snagged 4 Aces on 8/5 BP last night on $5 coin for $2,000
Thank you for your comments. Congratulations on hitting Quad Aces for $2,000 on the $5 coin denomination play. That’s what 8/5 BP is all about in my opinion (Bonus Quads & Royals). Great job!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you for the video!!! Amazing intro! Stayed at the Palms recently and did not have a chance to explore the entire casino... Excellent session starting with $100 and ending with $400 by switching games! I recently got my second Royal of 2023 at the Horseshoe Casino by playing 6/5 at 25 cents BP of all things!!! Can't wait for your next video!!! Thank you for sharing your insights and wisdom of all things related to BP and Video Poker!
Congratulations, Pecunious, on hitting that Royal Flush at The Horseshoe (in spite of the 6/5 pay table). I stayed there too, for one night, after my visit to Reno recently. I played for a couple of hours there, and even though I lost a small bankroll, I had a great time. Thank you for your comments!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi Mason. Great to hear from you. I see that your channel is growing, good job! Yes, popping those 4 Aces was fun. I’ve been way too busy than I have a right to. Keep up the great work. All my best to Ashley. It’s nice to see you both on the channel. Ciao.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Oh my, a cliff hanger!! I will be playing some video poker in a little over week at the Palms. My friend Randy and I will be hitting several casinos with good VP pay tables. I hope to hit several 4 aces and a royal or two. Thanks for sharing John, keep the videos coming and can't wait to see the next part of this one.
Hi Jeff. Good luck on your journey to Vegas & your Palms visit. There are still so many good places to play in Vegas. Please stay in touch & let me know how it goes!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi Bill. Yes….8/5 Bonus Poker can be a real grind many times, but in the long run, I think it’s worth the patience & effort. Thanks for watching & commenting!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
John, great to see another a new video from you. I wanted tell you how much I've enjoyed your RU-vid videos and John's World of Video Poker. I have thoroughly enjoyed the format and information within your videos. I have learned much from you...specifically the value of getting paid 2x for two pair in Bonus Poker. I confess I was a slow convert to that idea. I believe gamblers inherently love the big wins, but thanks to your repeated preaching on the topic, I have come to realize its unsexy but undeniable value!
Ben…Thank you, for your thoughtful and well-expressed commentary. I appreciate that so much. 8/5 BP & 9/6 JoB are not thrill games by any means, but they are crucial tools on the higher coin denominations. Also, BPD is quite useful on the high denominations too. I’m not opposed to the more volatile games such as DDB & TDB, but I only make short visits to them, and almost exclusively, after I’ve garnered house-money from 8/5 BP. All the games have their uses (such as TDB+), but my window for using them is very narrow (unless I’m on house-money). Thank you for your viewership!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hola, José. The next time that I’m available and heading-up to Yaamavá, I’ll give you advanced notice and perhaps we can meet up there one of these days. Take care my friend.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you so much for your comments and your loyal viewership. I love the Palms & Red Rock. I can’t wait for Durango to open up too. Also, I’d like to see what Hyatt does with the Rio (in terms of video poker) since they’ll be competing directly with the Palms right across the street. Good luck!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Greetings from a beautiful day in Torrance! Hi John! Another fantastic video sir! Love Bonus Deluxe. I'm starting to play it more since my son hit a quad on almost every machine he played at last time at Pechanga. I walked over to him while he was playing and I noticed that the machine to his left was showing quads. I also noticed the two machines to his right were also showing quads. I said to him "Wow, must be some lucky players". He said that they were all his. He took my advice and did a hit and run on each machine. Mom and I also played Deluxe that day and we both hit quads. When Deluxe is hot, it is really hot. I have seen players hit two quads in 5 minutes. Its nice to see you back in Vegas! They better watch out! Thanks again sir!
Great to hear from you, Paul. Thank you for sharing your experiences on Bonus Poker Deluxe, it’s a game well worth learning. Greetings to your Mom and your family.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Make sure you check the pay tables closely. Some of the newer machines have bad pay tables, so try to avoid those. Good luck. Please let me know how it goes.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
8/5 BP can be quite profitable and stable for a very long time. If scaled-up at higher denominations and a good run, amazing amounts of money can be made. It is (like all the games) a negative expectation game, but it has been good to me with close to $500,000 in Royal Flush wins, with $250,000 of that rolling-off of just a $1,000 bankroll. Daily practice on a simulator (that warns on mistakes) is critical in helping the player minimize incorrect plays. There are approximately 1.4M hands that favor the casino, and approximately 1.2M hands that favor the player. Long term the house always wins. That being said, however, ANYTHING can happen in the short term and that is where the money is made provided there are fortuitous runs on high coin denominations. Good luck. Only play with what you can afford to lose. There are no guarantees.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Hi Kurt. Yes…I prefer the 9/6 BPD pay table that still can be found in a few casinos in Vegas & in Southern California. I’ve been super busy this year, especially lately. I appreciate your friendship and camaraderie. Take care, my friend!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
It’s a great venue for 8/5 Bonus Poker. Look for the machines with a wide spread of coin denominations, then scale-up your play to the higher denominations if the machine happens to roll your way and keeps giving you money. You may just score a big win!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Thank you, Joe. Slotmassacre & I have both been busy hitting the machines to re-build bankroll, as well as, working a lot lately. We need to get back-up in the saddle again & ride. I was at a casino and someone stole my iPhone with all my latest videos that weren’t uploaded to the iCloud which really devastated me. I lost hours upon hours of great video footage shot in Reno with Andrew & other RU-vid Influencers who were there. It broke my heart. I’m starting over from scratch again with a new iPhone.🥹🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker Thanks for the great update and sorry to hear about your phone. Ironically enough, last October I had mine stolen while playing VP at the old Ballys! It happened so quickly and I was very disappointed in the lack of concern and attention from Security there. Held it very close several months ago when I was back in Vegas and will do the same next month when I am back out there. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and seeing Andrew back on here again too! Take care!
Thank you, Joe. And yes, the security & surveillance departments are mutually exclusive from each other and won’t work together on theft of patrons’ property…..only their own property. Very disappointed in them myself as well.
I haven’t been to Soboba in quite a while. I’ll have to get over there and check it out. Is that 9/6 BPD that you’re referring to? Thank you, Sherrell, for the information.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
@@johnsworldofvideopoker I know Soboba has 9/6 DDB with a progressive which is not bad. I have never seen any better. My biggest complaint is how hard it is to get to since it is not off a freeway, and driving through Hemet is not that interesting. Pechanga and Pala are much better drives.
@@Henry_Fung Hi Henry, Thank you for weighing in on Soboba. I appreciate your knowledge and insights on, not only the casinos, but on the various games themselves. Thank you, for taking the time to share your views with me. That’s a big help to me.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
My phone was stolen and I lost between 10-20 videos, not to mention my documentary on the IGT Influencer event held in Reno at the IGT headquarters. I was heartbroken over it. I’m just now getting myself back in the saddle again. All good. Thanks for watching!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Some video poker journeys take a little bit longer than others do, but somehow we all end up at the same destination. I do mix-in a little of the other more volatile games (9/6 DDB, 9/6 TDB, 9/6 TDB+, 9/6 BPD etc.) but usually only when I'm up with house-money won from 8/5 BP or 9/6 JoB. But I've watched others' styles of play & have seen great wins that come from each person's particular "game-mix" strategies. Like the Romans used to say, "All Roads Lead To Rome". Thank you for your comments and your viewership.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
Some of my film clips were recorded in the morning and people weren’t up yet, but go there on a Friday or Saturday night, and the place is jumping.🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎
