The inaugural THE Pan-Africa Universities Summit convened experts from the region’s tertiary education, industry and policy sectors to explore promoting and enhancing African-led research, best practice within African universities, and vocational opportunities aligned with a more sustainable knowledge economy.
We discussed how to ensure that transformation within Africa’s research ecosystem is mindful of the needs and aspirations of all countries and communities on the continent, as well as how a robust regional approach to governance and academic autonomy can aid the wider recognition of excellence across African higher education.
