@@megosmagick8849 Hahaha I guess she didn't understand what you ment exactly, so I'll help you out. The lyrics of this particular song is not the main language spoken in Surinam: Sranan Tongo. It's actually one of the languages of the run away (made to) slaves. So not al Surinamese people know what the lady is singing about. I know you've gotten that from the song: Faluma (Sisa Agi), also covered by Alison Hinds. The lady actually says: Mama a ye, ye du noh? Mama a ye, ye du noh? Kambo(sa) kii: du na ye, ye du noh? Baaka witi, du na ye, ye du noh? It literally means: Mother is it you, that is doing this? Mother is it you, that is doing this? The second 'wife', did you do this. Black and white, are you doing this? * Kambosa means the second girlfriend/wife/most of the time mistress of a man. * Baaka, witi is when someone dies they have ceremony where everyone mourns/celebrates the deceased person and wears black and white. I hoped, I helped you enough. The lyrics of Faluma online are trash and gibberish. It is NOT our language, or any language at that. Just made up words by a non Surinamese person trying to interpretate the song. Blessings!
