I am a retired Children's Librarian. I can not express just how much this episode meant to me. Beatrice was a remarkable women & her books will always have a special place in my ❤!

I studied Beatrix Potter for 2 Years when aged 16. Loved the subject. A few years later I found out the National Trust had sold some of Beatrix Potter's land that she gave to the Trust to keep safe !

Beatrix Potter was such a fascinating, accomplished, creative person and she left a true Legacy for Britain. ❣️ Not just her wonderful books for children , (and adults too) but for the environment, for the planet, for the Lakes Region that she loved.

Thank you for creating this fascinating & beautiful tribute to Beatrix Potter/Mrs William Heelis. What a gift to the world she was!! And especially to England’s National Trust! She was the true meaning of a maverick in so many ways!! What a unique innovative & forward thinker she was!!

I am so thankful to her for her incredible conservation efforts! Most of my family is from England but I live in Canada and I wasn't able to visit until 2018 with money from my grandad's inheritance. My family took my mom and me to the Lake District and they were just so proud of it, and rightly so! It really helped me reconnect with family I hadn't seen since childhood, just enjoying the natural beauty together. Canada is so big we really take our natural areas for granted but every acre counts!

I have been watching Timeline for a while now and love this one most. My dream had always been to go over the pond but it will never happen now. Maybe in my next life I will be born there.

One of the best documentaries on these channel that I have seen yet. Very interesting and varied, I also now know where the drawings on my carton Easter eggs come from. Ps: those seals had me absolutely cutified

What a wonderful series

I spent a glorious five days In Near Sawrey at the lovely small hotel around a bend from Hilltop Farm. It was an extraordinary experience ...going to the nearby storybook quaint Village of Hawkshead featuring a tiny but amazing Potter Museum in the former law office of her husband.... Walking around the lake just below the hotel and farm and exploring the incredible beauty of the entire Lake District. As I was fond of telling people you know it was Peter Rabbit who saved the Lake District from development. If it wasn't for those books Beatrix would not have afforded her ability to buy and preserve all that land around the lake District.

I guess I'm from the old school I have a large garden and it is a lot of work she has a large garden and she had a lot of help to make it look beautiful if you work alone you cannot have that big garden and have it look that great because you don't have the energy to keep going to do it You need help and that's what this lady had
