Things will improve tremendously once the pedestrian walkway between Paris and the ‘new’ tower is constructed. Presently, it’s still attached to the Horseshoe even though it’s now property of Paris.
Thank you for the video! I watch all of your reviews. I stayed at Paris in July and really enjoyed it, although the sound transfer between rooms was problematic. More recently I stayed at Aria (even after seeing your video) but wish I went back to Paris. Aria had better soundproofing, but the room and casino floor were so beat up and dirty.
With all that walking, and the Horeshoe Fire Escape Diagram on the back of the door, I don't know how Caesar's can call that a Paris room (and most likely be charging Paris prices).
We considered booking the Versailles tower but it just doesn’t feel like Paris and too removed from the casino and restaurants. Thanks for the review- it looks like we made the right choice for next week, at least in the short term.
I'm with you. We're very loyal Caesars-Paris customers. It's the only two hotels we stay in. I'll never request the Versailles Tower, even after the pedestrian crossover bridge is built.
Being a local and having stayed numerous times at Paris, I was surprised to learn they took over the old Bally's South Tower. As the two here suggest and correctly so, you really are staying in the now current Horseshoe, only with a Paris motif. At least until that walkover connection bridge is built. Very strange.
Greetings peeps ! I’m not a Caesars property fan but I do like Paris . I stayed there for one night last May before moving to the Aria sky suites for the week . The room was decent and the hotel has great theming and restaurants. No way would I do that crazy walk to the Versailles Tower . Way too far and doesn’t feel like you’re at the Paris . Great review . It was cool to see you on the Josh and Rachel live stream last night . Very nice when the different channels support each other 😎😎😎
I stayed at the Jubilee tower once when it was Ballys and I didn’t really care for the location. I prefer the rear tower or actual Paris tower. I like planet Hollywood when it comes to strip.
Just got back from a week stay at the Versailles Tower. Your review is spot on, especially about the shower shelf missing! I found the Internet sketchy and the TV worked only half the time, so I don’t know if that’s the same tech issue as the Internet, but it basically did not function. But it was a beautiful picture when it did! And resort fees are 56 bucks a night. I consider myself actually a horseshoe casino, hotel guest and not Paris guest. I used the horseshoe pool and gym. most importantly, if you stay in this tower, make sure you have a room with an odd number: because you definitely want to face the side with the Eiffel Tower and not the side that faces the nightclub at the Cromwell hotel that pounds music until the early morning hours.
I can't understand why they pushed to do the changeover from the Jubilee Tower to the Versaille Tower so quickly. It would have made much more sense - and been better for guest experience - to wait for the pedestrian walkway to have been completed. That's a hell of a long walk from Paris Check-In to that corner of the Horseshoe.
Money. They have the rooms finished, so they want to start getting that higher Paris rate for them even though you're really not staying at Paris if you book one of these rooms. The more we've thought about it (after our stay) the more of a farce it seems. It's almost like they need to close it off to Horseshoe after they finish the new skybridge, or else it will never feel like Paris.
I stayed there over new years room 6430. I wasn't happy at first. Things I liked is you can go out go to the left and your at the escalator to the shops outside. From my room I saw all the fireworks. I didn't like the mattress much myself it was just ok. In the end it was fine.😊😊
Thanks for doing this video. It’s my first look at the new rooms and like others have said it will feel more like Paris once the walkway is complete. Is it worth the extra cost?…..not for me as I like the Paris standard rooms. $52 resort fee….ouch.
Even after the skybridge is complete it's hard to imagine that room being worth 20 percent more. We're pretty sure we wouldn't stay in that tower again period. Thanks for watching!
Interesting video! Like you guys, Paris has been a favorite of mine and other than Caesar's Palace, Paris has been my most frequented property when I was traveling to Vegas several times a year. I'm not sure the Versailles Tower is worth all that walking and trouble at the prices that were displayed! I like the original Paris rooms and facilities just fine. I appreciate your videos and your hard work. Thank you again for presenting a quality product.
All of that walking to get to and from my room would PISS me off so bad!.. on top of that I always bring my mom who can’t walk that far as it is. Heard about the new renovations here before my next trip out thought to maybe check it out, never mind, will be staying at the Linq like I always do 🤷🏾♀️
I stayed in that tower when it was Ballys Jubilee - great view of the Eiffel, pool, & south Strip. Also several stays in Paris with similar view. IMO there is no way, considering the current setup, that I'd take this as a part of Paris. And can't imagine paying higher rates for a room w/o dble sink, makeup light, refrigerator.
Yep i totally did not get what the designers were thinking when they left out toiletries shelf in the showers. Kinda dangerous specially for people who may have trouble reaching all the way down to a wet floor to pick up the proverbial soap. Great review as always though, thank you both
Is there any plans to renovate the Bordeaux tower? I just stayed there May 17-21 and the room felt pretty dated. Great location and restaurants though.
3:51 - I sure hope the "No Room Fridges" isn't becoming a thing at Caesars properties. With our stay at Caesars Palace in December, there was no guest fridge in the room either (just a mini-bar fridge).
We'll be at Caesars in just a few weeks, so it'll be interesting to see whether our room has one. I suspect that we might begin to see the fridges disappear as they remodel rooms going forward...
Crazy that they are selling these as Paris rooms before the walkway is ready. They should at least allow guests to check in at the Horseshoe lobby until then.
Evidently they are now doing that. But of course that just highlights the fact that this is a scam and this tower really still isn't part of Paris and unless they eventually close it off to the Horseshoe casino, it never really will be.
Just stayed at the tower of Versailles. I guess alot sympathize with your take. Our room was cheap, we were upgraded to a larger suite, 115$ for the night and our room was fully furnished. It does NOT feel like you’re at the Paris. We arrived at the main Paris hotel and were told to go the Horseshoe. Good thing is that you don’t have to walk so far, we were able to check in at the desk by the elevators that lead directly to the tower. First time here so thought we’d have easy access to the main Paris hotel but you don’t.
so, the new Tower is more of a Horseshoe Tower than Paris? Strange. I guess the future walkway would make it more sensible. What i loved about my previous stays at Paris is that it is not as huge as other properties. I remember how easy & quick it was to get from my room down to the casino floor and to all the restaurants/bars. Plus, it's location makes it fairly easy to visit neighboring casinos.
Thanks for the review, for now, I will stay away since it's so silly to walk from one hotel to another. I dont like that they dont have a mini fridge. BTW, what pool or gym would you use, the one at Paris? Can you imagine walking all the way down the pool through 2 hotels. I guess I will wait
I'm pretty sure your only gym option would be Paris, since you're a Paris guest. I think you could use either pool, but the pool at Horseshoe is pretty bad. Thanks for watching!
Good video! This room just looks ordinary, like putting lipstick on a 42 year old pig. (Opened as part of MGM Grand in 1982, two years after the fire which killed over 80 people.) The history of the fire always kept me away from Bally's and Horseshoe. Now the lengthy trek from Paris? Seems to be the stepchild suburb.
As of right now…Paris is directing people who are staying in the Versailles Tower to check in at the Horseshoe front desk/ kiosks and NOT at the Paris front desk. The elevators that service the newly renamed tower are a very short walk from Horseshoe’s front desk lobby, to the right of Nosh Cafe and the Poker Room. I’ve stayed here many times and love the building primarily because it does have a small footprint to navigate! And yes - the hike from Paris front doors all the way into Horseshoe is a loooong trek.
That's new, when we were there we were told we had to go to Paris. But that just highlights the point that this tower is NOT part of Paris despite what they want to portray. Thanks for watching!
Having just stayed 4 nights in the new tower I would say stay away if you are hoping to sleep before 3am. It’s 2am as I write this and our room is still filled with the sounds of a nearby rooftop dance club - haven’t been able to figure out which one.
Do you know where in the Casino the walkway will come into Paris? I'll be there for the WSOP and we have rooms currently scheduled there. I had hoped it would get us close to the hallway that leads to the ballrooms.
It’s likely to be somewhere near the Paris sportsbook. The ballrooms are already on the existing walkway connecting the two properties, so it won’t be any help there. Thanks for watching!
@@ShowMeVegas It would have made more sense to have built the walkway before even renovating the rooms. Seems like they were thinking in reverse. Nothing worse than confusion at check in after a long travel day to start a holiday!
Mattress diva lol...what's your favorite in Vegas so far? I know my wife and I also dabble in comfort reviews s bit. Wonder where another self proclaimed aficionado stacks. (I know you've stayed at all of our top 3)
If you’re staying in the Versailles tower, can you check in at horseshoe? Also, if you think you want to make use of the pool at Paris, how inconvenient would that be if you’re staying in Versailles Tower?
It’s too bad that there is no check in kiosk or desk by the Versailles tower. That would have been convenient. Are the elevators key carded like in most mgm resorts ?
Actually there are two Paris kiosks in the Horseshoe lobby now, but there weren't at the time we stayed. And no, there was no security on these elevators whatsoever.
supposedly they have 2 “Paris” kiosks At Horseshoe- so if you just want to use a kiosk to check in, and you know you’re in Versailles tower already, then you can just go to horseshoe first.
We tried the kiosk at Paris and were told we had to see an associate, which would have been a major hassle had we been using one of the kiosks at Horseshoe. Kind of glad we didn’t know about them.
When we stayed, they did not give that option. It's a good start, but of course it pretty much just proves the point that the tower is still not part of Paris. Thanks for watching!
Not completely correct as far as check-in is concerned. You can register for this new tower right at Horseshoe. They have set up a separate registration counter for it and a welcome desk for the new tower in Horseshoe. Overall, though, Paris' gain is Horseshoe's loss. The latter has been going downhill since it stopped being Bally's. Slot machines are old, not much in terms of entertainment, no lounges with live music. Sports Book at Horseshoe is crappy. Now they have it confined to a take-out counter. The old sports book is a video arcade. I think they are going to remake the Jubilee tower and then implode Horseshoe
This is an awful room. I’m here now and am absolutely pissed. it sounds like it’s above a nightclub with booming music and flashing lights. So first off, tried to check in at 3pm and the line was literally a 3 hour wait, so we checked our bags and decided to come back late to avoid the lines. 10pm we came back and the line was still long. (Self check in could “not read” my license, so had to wait in line) finally reach someone 2 hours later, at midnight. Asked for a bathtub and was told, yes, you have a lovely claw foot tub. Nope. She flat out lied. The decorators of Motel 6 must have decorated these rooms. They are awful and have no Parisian feel. I called down to the front desk very unhappy, and was told these are the new rooms and all will be redecorated like this soon. Can’t be moved as it’s past midnight. WHAT?? That makes no sense. I will never stay here again. I’ve been staying here for 20 years and this room feels like a cheap motel. Cheap bedding, cheap mattresses and tacky decor. Not at all what you’d expect. Not to mention you walk through horseshoe to get to the “tower”. If I wanted to stay at the crappy horseshoe, I would have booked at the horseshoe. And naming this tower Versailles is a total joke. Whoever named this dump must be having a good laugh.
We didn’t hate room although it seemed unfinished. It’s the fact that it’s really still a Horseshoe room that makes it seem like such a farce. Thanks for watching!
Great video, we stayed in early December and the room wasn't clean (finger nail, ball of hair, chipped furniture), otherwise it was nice. Also shower didnt have a place for shampoo/soap inside the shower. Anyway, more importantly, GO CHIEFS
Those rooms were renovated for Ballys in 2018 or 2019 and were very nice and new. I don’t think Paris really changed much if anything in the rooms. No way would I consider those rooms a Paris experience, you’re in the Horsehoe.
I would never stay in the Horseshoe tower. Why is Paris trying to brand it as Paris? Even once the walkway is there, I'd not stay there. They are actually charging more there, too! People that don't know better are going to book it and then have to walk 1/2 mile to their room. No exaggeration.
The only reason they are rebranding the Jubilee Tower to Paris is EXACTLY so they can charge more for the rooms. Yes they upgraded to get the Paris look but making you traipse across the Horseshoe casino floor is a joke when they charge extra.
Any person familiar with the never ending financial shenanigans of the Caesars ownership group past, present and future knows exactly what they are up to. They are gonna try to dump the Horseshoe off to some unsuspecting chump that wants to own a strip casino. They have stopped doing any maintenance or upkeep on it guaranteed.
The Horseshoe was purchased by an Indian Casino company (can't recall the tribe's name) more than a year ago. All the Caesar Corp does is manage the property.
@@clubmogambo3214 That's not true. Caesars owns it. The Hooters casino was purchased by an Indian company called OYO, maybe that's what you're thinking of.
that room does not remind me of Versailles in anyway … why don’t these resorts actually incorporate you feeling like you’re in Paris with the rooms . i just don’t get it .
Admittedly we didn't get all the footage we should have and the room doesn't look great in this video. The two queen configuration makes it look smaller too. In actuality these rooms are larger than most of the standard rooms on the strip at slightly more than 450 square feet.
They've been selling these rooms as "Paris" rooms for almost two months, so no I don't think it's too early at all. In fact, it's important that people considering the Versailles tower right now know this information. Thanks for watching.
I really don't get it do people really pay to stay in room when coming to Vegas I come to Vegas to be active not stay in room what matters to me is logistics of a property so can get from room to excitement as simply as possible I'd rather stay in resorts tower in HS then have walk from Paris to that room tower.i stayed in that tower last year and enjoyed it but the ease getting to room from HS casino helped.just my 2cents worth
Las Vegas has been becoming weird these days with not just the non themed casinos but with greed, resort fees and homelessness. We’re supposed to make Las Vegas the greatest destination on earth and bring the city to justice! I had mixed feelings when Bally’s was becoming Horseshoe, the blue and red lighting looked really cool on the towers.
