not just an exhale through the nose dude the first time i saw 0:50 i almost threw up. the way he instantly goes back to casually standing after doing a dance that could cause mass hysteria follow me on socials im good at art @ tikmig 😼
Also I don’t know but I just noticed this but in “the deepening” they dig a hole to trap the shark. And put dirt on him. This hole is near the resturant so could this be where the carnie was buried? And it was 6 years prior because the movie was probs written in 2019 so about 6 years prior that episode was written . That’s my head cannon at least
Fr some critics were like “they didn’t do enough to make the animation better and more cinematic than the actual show” and I was like uhhhh do y’all all collectively need glasses or some shit?
I feel its actually a detriment to the movie. The show tends to have a much lower budget, choppier animation. I would have expected the movie to lean into snappier, more expressive animation. Instead it feels like they just rotoscoped a 3D rendering of the film and threw some fancy shading on. Its a lazy kind of quality that makes me think they just wrote a very long episode and let someone pump extra budget into it. Really hits me with a soap opera effect in some scenes. I love Bobs Burgers, and find its style charming. But this kind of sucks the soul out of it in a deceiving way. Like those AI videos that increase the framerate of animations. More frames does not make better animation, better movement and keyframing makes better animation. The small improvements work best. More expressive characters, better framing, less stiffness. But they really went overboard and overrendered this movie to hell in some places. I wish it wasnt as bad as it is. 2D is dying off due to negligence already, and this feels like a final nail in the coffin for it. 2D animation is some of my favorite work, but whoever handled the art direction for this movie either didnt care, or doesnt understand animation enough.
1:39 First, nice to see they found a new thing to do, after the carousel got torn down and second, the way Bob was rather uninterested, but chimed in with Tina, when she said weeee, is amazing
Anyone else cry at the part where they were stuck in the hole? I mean they weren't only literally stuck in a hole but also metaphorically and financially. But they're all in it together sticking it out and it made me cry so much 😭
The one joke that I didn't expect to make me laugh the hardest was the stupid exchange between Teddy and Bob when he had the cart. "Wow! I've never eaten outside before!" "Wait what-?"
idk why but when teddy says "we can't get to the exit we have to go through him" and it cuts to this big angry jacked biker looking dude carrying a bunch of balloons, it kills me every time
Omg you don't have the part that made me laugh the most! When they are in the car chase scene and Tina makes eye contact with Grover. Funniest shit ever lol
My college did a movie night this year where we watched this movie and we were all cracking up at it. It felt like a real movie theater on premiere night. 😂
I caught the first 80% or so of this on a flight and planned to watch it later. I hadn't seen Teddy crying over the destroyed cart and couldn't quite make out what he was saying so I popped on the auto captions: "You're a brave card you're a brave little God are you that I still take trash bro get out!" So yeah that cleared it up...
i feel like the people who hated it weren’t actually fans of the show. like it is extremely on brand for them to have musical numbers, i rmemeber many people complaining about that
One part that's pretty funny is right before Tina is about to give her necklace to JJr listen to what Tammy and Joslyn say as they walk by it's pretty funny
i cackled so hard when the belchers got out of the hole and stared at teddy with horrified eyes in the clam car as he asked "Did you guys get a new car?" ITS SO RIDICULOUS ITS FUNNY
The first time I heard the songs, I didn’t dig them but now I’ve watched the movie so much, I know the lyrics and enjoy them. Bobs Burgers songs are so awesome.
