Attorney here, breaking and entering doesn't actually mean "breaking" it can simply be the act opening the door and walking in. Or even reaching a hand into the home via an open window.

The final transition did feel like it carried a huge emotional wave with it. I feel it had an excellent execution and I love to hear there was such a long-game build up to it. I got emotinal when I saw the episode and I also got emotional now watching it again. I feel its emotional power has been absolutely earned!!! 😁

Before watching the finale I binged everything again and theorized it was The Ex making a comeback. So overjoyed I was right. Also, the second I saw Ecstasy's home, I thought the same thing. Oh, they're alone together?... Okay, but HOW COME HER HOUSE IS SO MUCH NICER. Literally me.

I'm not crying, you're crying... ... okay, I *am* crying, but that's because you all did such a great job getting me invested in the characters and the world you all created! Great work! ❤❤❤

It really is unfair what a great lineup The Ex got. You really wrote a fantastic redemption for Viola and the arc feels real. I love how it develops.

That's why this series is so amazing! So many inspirations, feelings and personal experiences on it! I went through a similar situation a few years ago as Margaret, except that I was in the shoes of the boyfriend who was getting ready to break up and thinking about the best possible ways not to ruin the friendship with the future ex and the friends in the group. My solution was to talk to the DM about how my character could leave the campaign, only claiming it was a lack of time, so i could preserver my Ex.. He created an amazing story mini-arc for my character to leave the Rebel Cell. This Character is still being used in their campaign as NPC and the game was not ruined. It's complicated, but we have to be emotionally mature, after all, it wasn't just a couple, but an entire group of friends that would be affected if I had acted out of pure selfishness. I'm looking forward to the next season!

If there's a S2, I'm interested in Viola's future. There'd be a good chance that the punch went viral. Maybe GIFed. :) So, wonder what that could've meant for her work/academic future (If any).

I loved everything about this. The curiosity when the trailer popped in my feed. To first 2 episodes that got me hooked. But these writers stories are so precious. It made me feel the love you have for this. You ended this with speaking of hopes. I hope you find new projects where you put in the same feelings and connections. I would love more of this DnD style series, or even from this group. But it seems so personal that it could also just stay in its perfect little place where it is right now.

She punched him. Onstream. He's going to sue and he's going to win. But hey, it's a fantasy world, where people do things that would not fly irl, so we can let it go. This was a fun series! Here's looking forward to season 2!

I got a fan theory and a kind of pitch. Fan Theory: the original chair for the thesis is an unprofessional narcissist, who likes to make potential grad students that he would "mentor" and make them think he is the alpha and omega. Also, it is likely that he only got his position as a department head through nepotism. As DnD type characters go, he would be a patron for a warlock... but only got his power and maintains it by deceiving his followers into doing more for him than he does for them. I know you writers have said that you didn't do grad school. But, as one who has done grad school, you had me fooled. I remember some of those meetings with professors trying to wrap my head around what ever it was I was supposed to be doing. I could identify with "The Newbie" as it felt sometimes that when doing grad school, you were expected to already understand what you were doing before you even applied. Assuming you are still reading, here is a pitch: The Newbie finds a better mentor for a graduate program and encourages her to re-apply. Meanwhile. the Original Professor takes on DM's Ex-boyfriend as a grad student/warlock thrall demon knight (because revenge things). As for Newbie, maybe a theater friend of Yorick is a professor or the head of the drama department at the same university. And for whatever reason, they get on the subject of what happened to Newbie and this other professor realizes that guy was up to no good. Seriously, the worst thing that would happen is she would just have to start on a new research topic, not be kicked out of grad school and forced to re-apply. Still with me? Yeah, sometimes I just have to see where the train wreck is going, too. If you stuck in this long, let me sum up some basics from grad school that could apply to D&D as the subject for research. The main thing you learn in grad school is how YOU LEARN to do grad school. It can be different for a lot of people. The basics are you take some 500 level courses that are specific to your field of research. Some of those courses will also include things like research methods and interpreting research. Basically, they want to make sure you know how to include research in your thesis. So, let's say Newbie had a new mentor (maybe they will also be their chair for their thesis, who knows?). One of the first things they would tell Newbie is "Go to the library" (more likely online, as the school should have a database hooked up to all the other libraries as well as published journals, but she could get help from the librarian to do this) and look up what others are saying about your subject. Even something such as "Dungeons and Dragons" could yield some interesting results. A quick search on the internet gave me: - D&D used in therapy and mental health benefits - D&D popularity in fiction, and media - Dungeons and Dragons as a way to trick kids into valuing math and reading. - Roleplaying games and the actors and writers who play them The next step is often described as going to a cocktail party where all the experts and people who had something to say about the subject are gathered. If it helps, picture instead a crowded tavern of the best warriors, mages, clerics, and rogues. As you have arrived after everyone else, you must acknowledge what the others have done to save the realm, or better yet, what have these other professionals already said about your subject. "As previously mentioned by Sir Steelfaith and Priestess Charity, the rise in undead occurrences in those who lack a faith seemed higher than those who do follow an organized religion (Steelfaith, Charity, 2016). And as Ranger Tanguardian and Goldleaf the druid, devout followers of nature almost never come back as zombies (Tanguardian, Goldleaf, 2017)." Once you've addressed what everyone else has said prior, the graduate student can toss in their 2 copper pieces. Maybe they are interested in how RPGs might help older people dealing with dementia. Maybe they want to see how RPGs help veterans. Perhaps they can work with troubled students and introduce them to D&D and see if that helps improve their school work. And maybe the professor wants to offer D&D as a class in college that could be a theater, literature, creative writing, or other type of credit/class. Ok, sorry if I bored you. Hope to see season 2. Loved seeing Mike Fatum!

Regardless of the legal implications the ex never came across as the type of character who would actually go to the police. Because that takes time, effort, and confrontation. He comes off as a slimy weasel who is willing to work in the shadows, but will never actually take strong action or choose a path of direct confrontation. If he gets her arrested. He might have to like go to court and testify and thats just a lot of effort when he could be sitting at home.

They also technically built in a reason why that wouldnt happen when ecstasy said he wouldn't report her for punching him bc it would be embarrassing bc it was a woman who punched him.

I didn't know it was a crime is not a valid defense in court. The law assumes all it's citizens know the law. But entering through a door that is already open, or an unlocked door, undivided is as illegal as braking down the door and entering. This is something you should have learned in grade school.
