tips for science : - learn questions that come up all the time directly from the markscheme - learn the required practical methods directly from markschemes - dont forget to revise working scientif tips for english: -mr salles -write an essay --> get your teacher to mark it ---> improve ---> get ur teacher to mark agian ----> further improvements untill ur essay is grade 9 level -knw exactley what each question is asking tips for exams: bring a highlighter to highlight key words in a question to knw exactley what its asking ---> prevents waffeling and silly mistakes tip for actual revision : - understand that motivation only comes once in a while, sometimes you just have to force yourself to do things -for me fear of faulure is the biggest motivation. - delete all social media including youtube and music that way you will have nothing better to do but revise -think about a topic that u hate , thats the topic ur gonna start revising .( if u hate it thats likely because ur bad at it ) - ask your self : if i had only 3 hours to revise a day what would i be revising ? ---> helps you figure out priotiries - revise early in the moring before school good luck 💕 edit : there are so many spelling mistakes but i cant be bothered to fix them so ur just gonna have to suffer reading
Nah but if I start on a topic I hate I’d ending up just leaving it and not doing my work at all! What works for me is doing something for my favourite subjects that is short and easy just to get in the ‘studying vibe’ I guess
Thank you so much, this is so accurate, I remember doing past papers, exam style questions e.t.c for maths and chemistry for a week and I passed my term/semester exams with high level distinctions
Any1 doing gcses this year you still have time to get good grades its never to late to become what u could have became. If u need maths help use gcse maths tutor if u need science help use free science lessons if u need english help use mr everything english or something.
no i'm not actually :)) my exams start on the 15th april cause that's when my papers begin :) if ur papers begin later, then you'll have more time @@ajayshivaraj393
literature- make prompts for ur essay e.g kingship in Macbeth, don’t need to do a full essay but remember mains quotes. Do this for poems aswell but in pairs.
how did u revise specifically for essay based subjects like history and english because i find stem quite easy but writing really tedious and annoying?
For english i focused on learning how to answer each question by watching mr salles and mreverything english and for my other essay subjects i focused on making essay plans
Heyy thanks for this video, Do you think past papers and flashcards. work well together because i usually revise using them both. at the minute i am doing 3 past papers a day , which makes me confident and also I was wondering if you have any idea. on how you would structure the revision for gcse because i always feel not doing enough regardless of how much i do , It would be great if you could do a solid revision plan
I focused on making essay plans for any possible questions they could ask and took points from previous mark schemes/ exemplar essays to include in my answers
watch vids, bang out practice questions and mark them, quit those bad habits ur in like procrastinating get enough sleep, START RIGHT NOW and not wait for a good time to start revising hope that helps
hi, this video was so helpful as i get mostly 6’s and 7’s and a couple 8’s but i really want to push for those 9’s. when you did past papers did you do them under timed conditions or not? also would the method in the video work for maths too?
the method in this video would definitely work for maths, I personally did not do it in timed conditions since timing was never an issue for me but I would definitely recommend doing it in 1.25x the timed conditions in order to make yourself quicker
Start from the newest and make your way back to the oldest. That way, you get the most important ones done first, important ones being the newest because new ones are more similar to your syllabus. Also the more past papers the better. I did mine till 2013
Yo what do I do for maths. That’s probably 5e most difficult subject I do.I got a grade 6 in my last mock. How do I revise the content and also answer the questions.I barely answer the questions towards the end of the paper as I don’t understand them. How can I understand the questions on the end of the maths papers?
-Do past paper questions by topic - Revise using the mark scheme for the harder questions at the end of the paper -practice 'showing your working out' because thats where most of your marks come from -Avoid silly mistakes by thoroughly checking your answers
