Little explanation of the lore at the end SPOILERS for hollow knight The one who looks like us is the original hollow knight vessel, the one you fight at the end of the game if you aren’t doing the radiance ending, the lore scene shows the pale king and the hollow knight sharing a fatherly bond, this is bad since a vessel needs to be purely hollow to contain the radiance’s light. Hence the events of the game occur as the hollow knight was filled with love for his father the pale king. The hollow knight never could be a true vessel and save hallow nest. It’s a cool little lore segment that really fills in the rest of the games story
For those wondering how long it really took, the chat spams the lap and you can see how many times he has died. Additionally, he died to the enemies at the end once, and because he lost all his health, he had to completely restart path of pain from the beginning. (this second time through was much faster, but the devastation from restarting heightens the achievements of beating it)
This feels like a good video if you watched the streams and want to rewatch the best bits, I am just so confused lol, IMO it seems waaay too much content was cut, seems like this could've been like a 45 minute video

watching atrioc play hollow knight made me buy it and im so glad i did, watching him start path of pain also made me attempt and finish it, so challenging but rewarding
You don't feel the gravity of the win as much when it's boiled down to 20 minutes but everybody in chat who was spamming "we will wait... king" sure did

If you are struggling with this and would like a easy-mode tip IMO Mark of Pride + Long nail + Quick slash charms make this a breeze, specifically Path of Pain
@@Yummygem_ that gives me hope. Never used a controller in my life and trying to play Hollow knight on something inhave never used is a knightmare. This gives me hope that it is possible
but it IS good lore (light spoilers) with this lore we have an idea of what the 'idea instilled' is that the White Lady spoke about, which tells us why the Hollow Knight sucks at its job at containing the infection.
@@vinimooraess a spoiler free explanation is, the knight atrioc was looking at with the pale king, WASN'T us the playable character. This scene is the reason the infection ended up happening and is the catalyst that starts the whole game. WARNING SPOILERS for this next part. The knight we saw was the actual "hollow knight" as a kid. A weapon bred to be emotionless and hollow to contain a god known as the radiance who was pissed at the pale king for stealing it's worshippers. The Hollow Knight, if truly hollow, would be able to contain the radiance within it forever. But that clearly didn't work since the infection caused by the radiance began leaking out of him. And it was because of this cutscene he wasn't truly hollow, because he felt love / admiration for his "father" even though he was only bred as a test tube experiment.

It's really not that hard haha.. you just equip hiveblood for health regen, and grubsong for soul when you take damage. If you get hit, wait a sec for the health to regen, try again. No problem. Worst case you get hit multiple times, you have soul to heal. Can just take your time, no need to retry any section by dying. I thought that was common knowledge haha
the lore is that the hollow knight you play is not the real hollow knight the king chose. the hollow knight is part void too, and theres way more than the 2 of them. Cant wait to see big buddy "A" defeat the infected hollow knight😃
i actually skiped many parts of this with void dash or whatever its called because you dont take damage with void dash you can just dash to the sawblades(not the path of pain) it is pain if you dont know the lore its not you and you are not the hollow knight

Atrioc is not gonna get the lore because he missed the real meaning of that cutscene, he thought the character was looking left, but the character was looking right.
After i finished hollow knight and finished the path of pain i played celest, path of pain was the hardest thing i done until i got to like side c and summit side b
