In this 35 part series Venerable Robina Courtin teaches, in her accessible, common-sense way, about the path to enlightenment. She covers a wide variety of topics on Buddhist philosophy and practice with engaging practical instructions as well. These teachings are an excellent and easy to understand overview of (almost) the entire path of Tibetan Buddhism. This recording is from Venerable Robina Courtin’s retreat at Land of Medicine Buddha, December 2006, called “The Path to Enlightenment A-Z”. In this eight-day retreat, Ven. Robina mainly teaches the topics of Lama Tsongkhapa’s Lam Rim Chenmo and also includes the instructions of Lama Yeshe in the book Becoming the Compassion Buddha. This is an excellent introduction to Buddhism for new students, as well as a great opportunity to deepen one's practice for intermediate and advanced students alike. It is a great collection for people who find Tibetan Buddhism to be overwhelming and complex, as Venerable Robina brings these vast teachings to us in a way anyone can understand. Includes 40 hours of teachings.

There is no way I just stumbled upon your RU-vid channel. I have been learning this path for the past 4 to 5 years as I retired from my financial advising career prior to that raising six children and having been through every type of Christianity finally Catholicism and still searching after many books, I have gone from various practices and systems of Buddhism, as RU-vid just brings things up and then you came up the other day and I thought how practical how right on the money, so thank you from the depths of my heart I must say that I have deep gratitude to the karma to the events that have brought me at this late stage of my life at 73 to this understanding to this realization and to this path I haven’t been able to find a Sangha so to speak or a teacher to encourage me personally with my little situation and dramas surrounding me with six children and 12 grand children and a husband who’s not well so I look at all of this as my gurus so to speak my teachers, but it would be nice if I had someone in this part of the USA to go eyeball to eyeball with at some point here in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I am so blessed I realize now to have this beautiful home, like a fishbowl looking out on the pine trees and mountains, my lovely gardens that I find myself delighting in and realizing I don’t need to kill these rodents, I saw a baby vole the other day and started to spray it with water to chase it from my plants, and I felt a pain in my heart so my dear, venerable Rubina it’s getting through if anyone reads this and has a comment back it is much appreciated so I will listen to these teachings. Thank you for bringing me back to school.

Hi, Meredith! Your journey sounds a bit like mine! I started taking classes almost a month ago through FPMT. (Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition). The class I’m taking is called Buddhism in a Nut Shell. It’s been an incredible blessing. It’s on-line. I am a full time Care giver so it’s been such a gift. Blessings to you on your journey and may you and all beings be liberated from suffering.
