Excellent. This is a road I am not familiar with. The rock formations were fascinating. Great photography and music as always. Thanks for brightening up my weekend. H Here's wishing you a great one.

Do you know when is the best time to go for some snow play in the mountains near L.A.? Right after it snows or go a few weeks later? A lot of times they close roads further down after it just snowed, which appears to be the case at Cuddy Valley Rd. Mt Baldy might be open, but I can't really check road cinditions on the website unless a road has a number. Maybe it would be better to go in 2 weeks from now?

Hi Lupe! I'll be going to La Cañata/Flintridge to drive Highway 2 (Angeles Crest Highway) through the Angeles National Forest this coming Tuesday morning. The snow will be a little icy by then, but the crowds will be gone and the roads open up to a point. You haven't been able to drive all the way to Wrightwood since the big fire of 2020, but you will at least be able to get to Mt. Wilson and Mt. Waterman. There is plenty of snow after the last storms and shoud be beautiful in all the local mountains. Mt. Baldy is still closed I believe, buy the road may be open later today. Big Bear is the best place to go play in the snow, most roads are open and the chains requirements will be stopped in the next couple of days. Go east out of LA on the 210, and after you get to San Bernardino take Highway 330 to Running Springs. At Running Springs take a right on Highway 18 and follow it to Snow Valley. Just before you get to the ski resort, there is plenty of parking and small slopes to sled, play or slide on. Build a snowman, make snow angels and have a snowball fight! You can see this drive in one of my videos here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BwfNcUAcO7w.html Thanks for watching and commenting! And remember to Drive Safe!

@@ridealongwithscott Thx for the response. I'm in the San Fernando Valley, so Mt Pinos always made sense to me. Far less traffic heading up that way than heading out to San Bernardino. San Bernardino would probably only make sense to me if I stayed a night there in a cabin. I got myself some chains just in case, but I'm not sure if they would let me up to Mt Baldy if I went this weekend. That drive you'll do should be super nice.

Wonderful experience! What a gift! I saw the Hockney collage, had long forgotten it. Years later, found myself at that intersection and was struck dumb with the genuine deja vu mystery. How can this be?
