Love this Batman universe it’s dark and gritty almost watchmen vibes. Seems very realistic and not cartoonish and childish. The villains you can tell are very psychotic and smart.
They're gonna have to give an extremely good explanation for why Batman isn't showing up to do anything in this show because otherwise, he's gonna end up being the most incompetent Batman put to screen.
Right now. No one knew Arnold was dead. Two Maroney is still in lock up. Batman is dealing with a lot of things right now. City is flooded, crime is everywhere. And this Batman is still new.
The real reason is probably something like pattinson costing too much money to put on the small screen. So many ways they could do it though, It could even be a stunt double and just having batman show up in the very last scene.
What's interesting is he's still learning. Needed to hear his mom say he could take the city for himself. And then he learned that Victor's use of the body was more subtle but sent a very clear message.
The folks saying Batman should be on this are forgetting two things. 1. He's still very early in career and he's not as omnipresent as he'll come to be in his prime. 2. This show is taking place weeks after the flood, Batman has a LOT on his plate rn, Penguin will probably only show up on his radar after he's moved up in the ranks.
We don't always need a big cameo. If any cameo were to be done how about a Harvey Dent as a lawyer. His failures to stop Oswald. Could help drive his transition. Remember in the comics he was obsessed with bringing down the Falcones.
I think eating raw fish is particularly Danny DeVito's Penguin. The character is usually depicted as a sophisticated crime boss with tons of insecurity due to how he's been treated.
It would be fucking amazing if they did that and i think that's why the penguin is so liked because it isn't pulling punches showing what gotham really is and I liked the batman movie but an R rating would make it epic
This show is such a breath of fresh air after so much slop and garbage. I don't even remember the last time I was actually excited to see the new episodes of a show.
Amazon should take a good look at this show, that is how you write a show. That is how you do good dialogue. That is how you make an adaptation that isn't an insult
Im pretty sure Vic is gonna die by the end of this show. Penguin will have to be cemented as a villain at some point and him killing vic in his pursuit of being the crime lord of gotham is most likely an outcome.
He’s obviously a parallel to Jason Todd but he won’t become a Robin. Interestingly the guy that plays Tim Drake on Titans was the punk kid at the beginning of the movie
Yk what’s funny, the end of the penguin episode, the music was the same music Deadpool used in his second film🤣made me laugh oh shit DC getting more classic with the music like Deadpiol
@@geordiemc4571This and Batman not part of the DCEU. Everything Marvel makes is connected to the MCU. DC is better when making stand alone films instead of copying marvel
@weaponsofwarfare9537 lol marvel hasn't been connected since Endgame. It's a total mess and don't even get me started on Star wars. Deadpool 3 was mediocre and the first hit marvel has had in years.
i cant wait to see this it almost like the sopranos mix with god father etc and dont care if it has alot of drama and less action im watching it i dont care if its gangster or not i dont really like the joker move and tonight im watching the batman then this i dont like anyother show unless its dc characters
Not a fan of the acting of that kid he teams up with. Was hoping he wouldn't be a lasting part of the ensemble but oh well. The series started out extremely good otherwise. Can't remember a tv-premiere like that maybe ever.
I legit couldn't believe how good this show was as I was watching the first episode. A master class in how to get an audience to care about multiple characters with all kinds of different goals and ambitions simultaneously within a single episode
@@jasonpaulbaker1it’s called venom. Titan is an even stronger version made for the Arkham games (who turned him into a mindless beast), does not exist in the comics
I personally think thats a stretch but I have only seen Zsasz in Arkham games and in there he did go crazy after penguin screwed him up in a poker game but he also had rich parents there, so idkk
I hope that Roman Sionis, A.K.A. Black Mask will show up as a new rival crime boss to Oswald Cobblepot. Alongside the other bosses of Gotham City's crime families: 1. Santo Cassamento (Cassamento Family). 2. Junior Galante (Galante Family). 3. Tommy Panessa (Panessa Family). 4. Franco Bertinelli (Bertinelli Family).
Vic is 100% dying at the end of this like Rick in Nightcrawler. They got to remind the audience by the end of this series that Penguin is an awful person.
I'm not really a batman fan so seen The Penguin figured I'd check it out and was really good, I figure the show is pre walddling in a tux and is his foot that messed up for real if episode 2 follows on could be a hit
You really don’t need Batman in this. In fact, I hope they don’t even really reference him. This show completely stand on its own as a compelling piece of art! I’m hooked
