the way i literally had an argument in the comment section of another video of this same scene, and the guy i was talking to was CONVINCED they were straight. like are we watching the same scene??
Nygma was straight and started dating the librarian Isabella around the same time that Oswald realized he was in love with Ed. Oswald had no other relationships and Nygma only dated women, so we really only see the Penguin as gay and the Riddler as straight.
So, fun fact, i have not watched an episode of this show and this showed up on my feed. This has to be one of the gayest things i have ever witnessed. I ship it.
@@swampbeardsso, you're telling me, the guy dramatically singing an Amy Winehouse song to his (I presume) little nerdy looking boyfriend did not register as 'gay' to the people? That's crazy
@@HyssopoOswald loved Ed but not in a romantic or sexual sense. The word gay is never said. Penguin is shown to be asexual throughout the show. This is because almost anyone he has ever come into contact with has wronged him, he does not trust someone completely until he finds Ed Nygma. But the actor playing Penguin is gay so I’m sure he had some input.
@@HyssopoThe funniest thing is that (until the end of Season 3 at least, I haven't watched the other two seasons yet) the little nerdy guy always states how he was his ~best friend~ and how much he valued this ~friendship~. This musical number is btw not reality but a drug-hallucination by the nerdy guys subconcious, soo... take from that what you will, if I have drug-hallucinations I too always imagine how my ~best friend~ sings Amy Winehouse to me in the ~most platonic way possible~
I don't know if I'm the only one to feel that, but I find this scene a Ryan Murphy vibe. It reminds me a little of the atmosphere in American Horror Story.
