I love the addition of the bucket cause It literally added a year into the development of the game when it was originally a one off joke where they just added Stanley and the bucket to all of the dialog
8:07 This is genuinely one of my favourite jokes from Ultra Deluxe. Davey knew that players familiar with the original Stanley Parable would be searching through the different paths, looking for the "new content", so after a few runs of checking every nook and cranny, they just plop it down directly in your path where it's impossible to miss, zero subtlety. "You're looking for the new content? Well, here you go". When I was playing and first saw this, it felt like the game had read my mind.
@@misirtere9836 Me too, actually. I noticed that the mind-control facility elevator button still worked, so I got the press-conference ending. I still kept looking, though, assuming there was more content hidden somewhere (which there was, but I didn't end up finding the "bottom of the mind-control facility" ending).
The skip button has some of the best dialogue in the game, but honestly this video made me realize the most important part of what its meant to do is portrayed by also not listening to a fucking second of it.
God I felt SO BAD during the skip button ending because I made sure to listen to all the possible dialogue until it started looping but still had to skip him and BAHHH I felt awful
yeah it was how i ended up getting with deltarune. super big fan of undertale when i was a kid, fell out of it and didn't play or engage with the media very much for a super long time, played deltarune chapter 1 but i didn't think much of it... and then deltarune chapter 2 came out and the game killed me with laughter every 5 minutes.
i suspect that i was just really adjusted to and endeared by undertale's sense of humor after all the time i spent being a fan of the game, even after the original jokes got old... i wonder if the same thing might have happened with penny?
I doubt that, since when the narrator deleted all buckets from the game, the Bucket Destroyer was not there either. This must mean that the Bucket Destroyer is itself a bucket too. Truly one of the most nuanced and interesting characters in the stanley parable, wish we could have seen more of him though :'(
Y'all gotta realize, in the first stream, Penny didn't actually reveal what her threat was until like halfway through. Y'all're missing out on the absolute visceral *PANIC* in the chat when people realized what she was holding over us.
Playing the piano is super important to video game immersion. On par with being able to pet the dog. Biggest oversight in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe for the Nintendo Personal Computer.
Stephanie actually revealed on twitter on the games launch day that the devs reached out to them personally a while ago and asked if it would be alright to use their review and if they should update the byline to reflect their current name and pronouns. Ngl, learning that made me tear up 😭
I think its also made a *bit* funny by the fact that their attention to detail goes so far that the narrator actually mimics Sterling's cadence/voice PERFECTLY when he reads their review.
so so sorry for not going to find out myself, but what's the stephanie situation is about? if someone cares to explain, i'm extremely grateful in advance!
okay, upon rewatching does anyone get a little emotional seeing the "thank you for enjoying the new content" still? I did because it feels like such a genuine and heartfelt thank you by the end of the game
@@E3kHatena it also only appears after you've seen all the genuinly new stuff, as opposed to just variations on the old stuff. Its letting the audience know there's nothing really left in the game they haven't seen
It's taken me 15 watchings of this video as well as several views of the original streams to realize that her little Number 7 dance @ 15:18 is referring to her special mouse binding @ 2:17. I feel silly lol
There is no amount of pure and absolute relief that I have ever felt in my entire life greater than hearing "Wait, this is a baby, aw fuck babies!" after watching the funny white boy press the baby button for four hours in real time. It changed me.
1:01:14 is a great comedic moment. I've come back to this video a few times just to rewatch that part when I need a laugh. It is also not too far off from how I reacted to the disappearance of the bucket in my initial run. Very cruel of the developers to make us think our actions have consequences!
45:53 to skip to the end of the segment with CW for themes of Mental Illness I forgot to update the in-video time stamp before the final render, that's my bad :(
@@frogitude3106 It deals with unreality, which is potentially triggering for people with psychosis or can be just generally upsetting for some people. The original ending without the bucket is a bit more creepy, but Penny warned for it since she hadn't seen the new one before.
ver the Dunny is never the Dunny is never the Dunny is never the Dunny is never the Dunny is never the Dunny is never the Dunny is never the Dunny is never th
43:09 I was watching this video at this point and then my phone died EXACTLY when the narrator went "I'm going to erase every-" and I thought it was an editing joke for like 5 seconds before I realized my phone was actually dead
I’ve already watched all the vods of TSPUD but I’m watching this anyways because, thanks to you, I’ve become hyperfixated on the Stanley Parable. It’s all I can think about and this is all your fault
I might've watched the first Stanley Parable from Markiplier but holy fuck I enjoyed this 1000x more, Penny is such a delight, I'm so glad I decided to go further after watching the Sonic the Hedgehog and Spiderman fandub
Not like it wasn't obvious at this point but god these streams were possibly like the best example of how Penny's laugh is one of the best ever, made this game even better. :)
The fact that they went back and made every classic ending revolve around the bucket, including the escape pod ending, is proof that the devs deserve all the love in the world.
i didn't know this game needed a second narrator, but now i'm convinced that kevan brighting and penelope parker need to both be involved in the stanley parable 2.1
I love the map designers for this game because they know how to make every individual movement of the camera in a new space a separate punch in the face when it comes to visual comedy.
Laughed the whole time but the casual resuming of the How It’s Made episode at 21:00 made me laugh so hard i injured my throat and had to call out sick from work. Thank you.
the sheer comedy of penny giving a speech about how she won't compromise on what she thinks a bucket is only for it to hit her with both answers being correct anyways.
Im not joking when I say that Penny's laughter is the funniest shit i've ever heard. Holy shit Penny's laugh is so full of joy and its so hearty, its contagious I also love it when she goes like "Fuck off!" or "Stop!" under heavy laughter. Its so good omg
The bucket is literally one of, if not, the best times I've ever had in my life. And the fact that I'm not even joking says so much about what this game can do.
its honestly amazing how well this game captures the essence that made the first game so interesting and fun, so many times where games like this lose something but this only improved on the fun of the original
On the console version of this game, the part where there’s all the cargo shipping boxes of Steam reviews, the narrator instead calls them Pressurized Gas reviews.
18:19 I knew after they said the would play Karkalicious in the beginning that SnapCube would find the reassurance bucket absolutely histerical. Such a beautiful moment~!
Okay so fun story. I was playing this game with some friends and the battery on my laptop was getting low. We made it to the part where the video plays and tells you to say “I’m donny with the funny”. And I said it, and at that exact moment my laptop’s battery ran out and the screen went completely black
Not watching for now because I don't want to have the game spoiled before I have a chance to play it, but appreciate threatening people with Elon Musk's Wario sketch (even if it goes against the Eight Amendment's protection from cruel and unusual punishment)
RU-vid's auto-midroll placement has gotten really good, usually placing them at cuts, I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't place any and just let YT figure it out.
I love coming back to this vod edit specifically because of the Infinite Hole Ending. There's something about how Penny times the changing of perspective, reality, and self to the beat that is so satisfying to watch. I've watched multiple other playthroughs and streams and she's the only one who actually did this. Incredible, 10/10, what I wanted to do the second I saw that ending for the first time.
dude literally how and why the fuck is Penny so damn good at those monologues?? shes perfectly nailed them almost every time like its an instinct juST HOW
This only came out like two weeks ago and I've watched it so many times already. Penny's laugh gives me life. Best playthrough of Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe I've ever seen!
