This is how Apple should have built their watches. I had used Apple Watch for over 1 year and sold it. I had enough with daily charging. I bought a solar powered watch, and it does what I actually need. 2 time zones, timer, and alarm,. Pretty good for me. Now I don't have to worry about charging - ever.
I love it. It's for data, not for people who want a phone on their hand. I love that they will add more features for women's health. It's $600 in Australia. I will update my watch.
BEWARE of Withings after sales service. It’s a total disgrace! My wife gave me a Scanwatch 2 for Xmas and the battery failed in April. After many unreplied messages, we finally got stage where they said send back to replace. Unbelievably it’s been with them for a month and we have had no response from them to date. I’ve almost given up with them as their after sakes is so bad that I’m not bothered to wear the watch again. They say it can be 3 to 6 weeks just to get confirmation of receipt of the returned product. In a world where most companies receipt goods within 24 hours is a total disgrace. Imagine if you rely on Withings for a health product and this lack of care is shown? I had previously asked for my money back and they refuse and it’s past 30 days ownership. What a shame its lasted just past the 30 days. Shameful service and beware of what you hear about this company. I am about to start making videos of the experience.
Planning on purchasing one.🙏🏽 Watching from South Africa.🇿🇦 Also, turn off notifications for all apps when shooting to avoid them as it happened a few times during b-roll.🙏🏽
Love the look of it but am reluctant to get a replacement for my old one that fogged up and died as it apparently isn’t that water resistant if you press the knob while swimming:/
Thanks so much for the review. I really want to pick up the 38 mm scan watch 2. I like the band hind style a bit better. Question: Do you think the watch can survive hot yoga classes? I wore my Samsung galaxy 2 to hot yoga. I put it in “water lock mode”. It’s literally 105 degrees in there for 1 hr. Since class, the watch has been acting strange. I think I fried something
According to Withings you can replace it with a non-chargeble CR battery. But better let the juweler do that for you if you want to keep the 5ATM waterproof rating.
I agree with you. There are a few similar watches for less. You can even get a regular watch and a fitness tracker combined for less. That said, it IS a quality item. I have the ScanWatch and at the time, I felt like it should have been about $50 cheaper. I bought it anyway and it has turned out to be my favorite watch ever. I've had NO problems with it really. And something Pocket-lint didn't mention is that the glass is sapphire glass. I am constantly banging watches on things as I walk by or forget to remove it while working on a car or something and the glass on my ScanWatch is pristine. The glass is so super resistant to scratches, you don't need a screen protector or anything. If you think this is the watch for you, but you don't want to splurge, I recommend you splurge. I think you won't regret it. I'm a pretty critical person and I can usually come up with a dozen things I hate about products but this is one of the few things I've purchased lately that I have no SERIOUS complaints about, just a few small ones. If you just can't swing the price, but you want it, I recommend looking into hybrid watches by Muse and Garmin. Note: The less expensive Scan Watch Light does NOT have the sapphire glass, but rather Gorilla Glass.
@@ProfessorOzone Im in the same boat, also just bought it even though i initially felt it was a tad over priced, but ended up forgetting all about that, absolutely love it and have no complaints whatsoever.
well, not sure about this watch. should maybe have arabic letters, and possibility of reply messages etc, like other smartwatches.. I have a Fitbit Versa 4. Think thts more like a smartwatch..But others might have another opinion.. Apple watches ok, but short battery life. 18 hours. And: What about Casio and Inex, etc.. these watches are maybe the best watches to wear, they are dumb, but show the time:). Fossil watches are now longer produce smartwatches regarding news... Its sad, but maybe many now prefer ordinary quartz watches?. Its now only Apple watch, Samsung ang Google based watches back, like Pixcel watch and Fitbit. Of course there are other watches also like training watches: Polar, Garmin and Suunto. But these are noe really smartwatches. And others from China etc, but they not using Wear Os. Well, what can you say..Is it better with a dumb watch:?..
