I think I mention the specs in the video- base spec with upgraded hardrive to 1tb. Doesn’t get hot…fans have never switched on.

Just curious, it's now 2024 and stems in DJ software are trending. Does your specs discussed in the video still perform well? I just purchased a Mac Mini with M1 processor, 16GB memory, and 2TB ssd. I bought it refurbished for a very low price. I also wanted a larger screen than even a pricey 16" laptop. So I have a nice 27" screen for the road. So far, I love the setup and Serato runs with no effort, even with stems "on demand" on both decks. Great video.

I have had no issues at all to date. I think the M1 Pro is still more than capable…ultimately music files are far less intensive to work with compared with the likes of say 4k video. Thank you for watching!

i have the 14" M2 MBP and 15" M2 MBA both are great, the 15" is a lot easier on my tired eyes

I’m going stand-alone with the rx3 so don’t need a laptop for my mixing , so will an m1 MacBook Air do for me , as all I want it for is rekordbox and to put my tunes on a usb,,,, Cheers

When the machine is pretty new, yes it will last no problem- I have done 6 hours on rekordbox. Of course batteries do degrade over time

I have the same question. currently using a 2013 macbook air to dj serato pro and Video output to porjects in a nightclub. my current laptop is struggling. and I want to make sure what I upgrade to has zero hiccups with the workload

You store your music on your computer? No way man, that’s way too risky. I have multiple externals I use and they’re backups of each other.

Is the 512gb storage enough for DJing, I only use 320kbps audio files?, Looking to upgrade once from my windows laptop to the base model of 14 inch.

Really does depend on how many tunes you want to store....bare in mind that 512gb is not 512gb just like 1tb is not 1tb- the operating system and all the updates that come over time will require space. Consider how large your library is and also how often you want to upgrade. I upgrade my laptop once every 5ish years so I always opt for more space.

@@majidmehmood786 ... get you a portable hard drive to store your music on do not store it on the computer because that small hard drive on that mac will fill up fast leave it as empty as possible to run the task of the laptop itself!
