Agree! Been playing the BGT Brava shaft in both Ping G430 Max and TSR2 drivers and gained an ave 15 yards and less dispersion with smash factor 1.48 to 1.50. Pricey but worth it!

Straight up bombs with the Ping driver!! And I have been considering picking up some of the Legato golf balls and now I am even more likely to get a dozen.

Loving this, when you do the brackets this year, are you going to use stock shafts and stock specs ?

Looks like you might have your new driver/shaft combo for the season. I've heard good things about that shaft. I believe it's similar to an AutoFlex but not as expensive. Were you playing it with a stiff flex? Also, what differences were you seeing while using this shaft compared with Ping's tour chrome shaft?

Good video. Greetings from Germany. I bought that bgt Bravia a year ago. Unfortunately in a wrong flex, senior flex, hoping having a kind of autoflex. But the ball went straight in the air. Too much spin. It was cutted an inch at the club head section (having a flex up with) and it's now on my 3 wood and it's perfect now. At the driver tsr2 having a stiff shaft with 39 gr (project x). Yes indeed you need to find the best combination. Keep going on with wonderful videos. 🙏🏌️

I love the ping, but for me it's 4th... maybe 5th down the list in terms of looks, both esthetically and at address. Ai smoke, Qi10, Darkspeed, TSR3 are exceptional looking big dogs. ImHO.

I,m playing the Brava 50g ..in TSR 2 .. 10 *.. Its incredible.. 45.25..length, it cracks like a Whip..

I’ve been playing the G430 Max with a stiff flex BGT Brava shaft for the past season. Absolutely love it but would be slightly curious to try it with the 10K head too

Gabe, thanks for the info about the ball, I asked about it on your L.A.B. putter review. How does the Ping compare to the Kirkland with the same shaft?

Just boght a ping g430 10k and cannot wait to get it on the course ( im in minnesota so the courses have not opened yet) but on the simulator at golf galaxy this was easily the best driver for me in terms of distance and forgiveness despite the high price tag. Last year i was playing an offset cobra driver and banana slicing with it.

Looks like Jake Knapp who just won the Mexico Open is playing a steel driver shaft.

I think you should give that driver away to a fellow Tampa native who has same swing speed so perfect fit and who doesnt have the budget to improve on his G400 driver. ;0) Great review as always! Need my address?

I have the PING G430 max 10K with the Ping Tour 2.0 Chrome Graphite 65g stiff and i’m not sure it’s the right shaft for me despite having the same characteristics as the Helium i had been fitted for my Cobra Aerojet Max .. Might need a re fitting

just out of curiosity, when you do a shaft upgrade is there any chance of including a budget model as well, i priced the Brava and where i live they are $560, which is out of my budget. With the cheaper version you might lose 10yrds and dispersion maybe a few yards wider but if you are saving $350 its a win-win.

I’m sure that PING is KING for “fargiveness” lol. Problem is in Canada it’s $975 tax paid. Throw that shaft in it’s like buying a good set of irons. Crazy 😮 I may be looking for a new driver, can’t see myself getting this one. But .. once I hit it you never know. Stay tuned. Lol

did you change to a lighter back weight in the 10k? Since the BGT is not counterbalance?

What length does it play at with that shaft and did you keep the stock weight?

Is the Tour 2.0 a counter balance shaft?

The new Ping 10K is a great driver, but have you tried the PXG Black Ops Tour-1? It's unbelievably great!

Hey Gabe, Is there any reason why you didnt put a PXG adapter on that shaft as I thought you really were impressed with the numbers and the consistency you got with the Gen 6 driver ?

Obviously you know better than I do, but from what I've seen you play with the Tsr 3 and the PXG. Those seemed to play better for you. That's sick you got a ball sponsor though, congrats!

What kind of Cost is that Shaft. Because you are correct Shaft can be as important as club head depending on your swing

OK Gabe I understand your enthusiasm, and this is a good set up. However, in the past and some of your driver testing‘s I have seen some outstanding performance by some very forgiving drivers that you hit that went over 280 yards not that long ago. This driver did not even come close to that. Although forgiving, some of the others you have tested have been phenomenal and performed from what I can see every bit as good as far as dispersion goes and work considerably longer. I would say within the last two years of your driver of the year testing you have had much longer drives. I understand this is the latest and possibly exciting to see the performance which is very commendable but I don’t think it’s a real step up? Go through the videos of your last three years of driver testing… You hit a lot further

Gabe, I'd rather you kept those Legato balls a secret. I've been playing them for a year, and they compare really well with other big name 3 piece balls.

I don't understand the workability score. We can tee up driver however we want and play almost any driver whatever club path and face combination we like.

With head and shaft its probably way out of alot peoples price range i love my wilson lp 2 great driver i hit it 260 all day long

With shaft upgrade, (Brava) shipping and tax that comes in at staggering $1000. I think you left us mere mortals at the checkout counter.....

Had high hopes for that shaft, especially given the price, but thus far i’ve been disappointed. I have it in x flex in my ping and haven’t enjoyed the feel or trajectory it produces.

Any one that buys a new driver from big for are idiots I’m one of them . I’ve had every taylormade fur 15 years. I have a strealth plus 2, 600 dollars 8 to 5 months ago. Trade in value on it pga value guide is 162 dollars. Rip off. I done buying 500 , 600 dollars not worth it anymore. Buy a qi10 now if you want to trade it in a month it’s worth 210 dollars
