As a 3rd year I find the insulation screwdrivers are more comfortable and lighter. I have the Klein ones and they are great. Would also recommend an adjustable wrench. Don’t use them much but definitely glad to have them. Don’t go cheap. Not worth it at all. Stay well stay safe! 🇺🇸

Nice load out,love Wera and Knipex.Individual screwdrivers is the way to go in my opinion also.I have to say tho,the Knipex strippers dissapointed me.I don't like them at all and the reason is I find the straight handle uncomfortable and not ergonomic.

The knipex wire strippers are the best for cutting mc, too. Every other pair of strippers will not do the trick and will get messed up.

A new person out of high school may not have the money to buy the expensive tools that you have. Also, where do you keep your sockets? What should an apprentice electrician have for tools. Most important is to not go out that first day with a new tool pouch and all new tools. That will lead to instant harassment. When my youngest son joined the trade I gave him a used pouch and a complete set of my old used tools. A few days later he was thanking me after seeing the crew make fun of an apprentices new pouch and pristine tools. I would also suggest in most cases a tool bag is far superior to a tool pouch. I seldom ever needed more tools on me than would fit in my hip pocket. Having a bag nearby kept me from climbing with all that unnecessary tool weight. Tools necessary will always depend on what type of electrical work you do. I was a commercial electrician for 40 years and tools changed over the years. At one time we all carried a six foot folding rule and no measuring tape. Today wooden rules are relegated to the past. I always carried a pair on 9NE's with the hard red grips. Two pair of uninsulated channellocks. I preferred 430's as a good all around size to handle larger pipes and fittings. Quality hack saw. A few flat tip screwdrivers including one for trim. A phillips screwdriver and one insulated split tip for starting screws in hot bus bars. A pair of klein needlenose with the #12 stripping hole. One pair of t-strippers. A machinist's level, far more magnetic holding power than an electricians level. Pencil. Flashlight. Some type of tester. I always carried an ancient knopp tester. One pair of dikes. Now I also carried a few optional tools that made life easier for me. A screwdriver that could take a square drive bit for receptacles and switches. A small tap and bit set. A drill driver for wirenuts. Pen sized voltage detector. A roto splitter after ideal quit selling the original bx cutter( a far better, faster tool than a roto splitter.) A two foot length of jack chain and a small roll of nylon line. A small clamp on one vial level for pipe bending. A six inch crescent wrench. Union shops were required to provide all other necessary tools like drill motors, benders, etc. Why were the channel locks uninsulated? For pipe reaming.

Gotta work on that camera focus. Most of the time the camera wasn't focused on your face or the tool bag. And it was never focused on when you brought the tool directly in front of the camera. Lastly, easy up on the fake zoom in/out/camera movement. Too much of that is distracting and makes the viewer nauseous. Thank you for not having background music in your videos anymore.

Honestly if I get crap for insulated tools I only have one response, I have bad luck with hurting myself.

Channellock is a brand; Knipex is a DIFFERENT brand.

Good content, good delivery, bad focus. You are in focus, tools are not. Back up to keep everything in focus. Then cut to a closeup to view the tool. I just bought a Klein lineman and a Klein needle nose and it was loose.

Pro tip: look into the camera lens, not at the camera screen. It makes you look more connected to your audience and not looking away from your audience.

In english, it's okay to drop the K and pronounce it "nip-ecks". It's exactly like "knight" and "know". These are foreign words assimilated into english and we dropped the k over time. Just don't let the germans hear you.

Apprentices, don’t EVER carry a spine twister like this….ask around your job sites….how many fused vertebrae, back problems… What you do to your body when young affects you later in life….a lot. Yes, keep a full tool bag nearby…within reason, some tools are not covered for theft. Otherwise, enjoy the work, support each other.
