You didn't mention the birds eye view on bing. all you have to do is right click on the map and it is in the drop down.

It’s crazy how clear y’all’s water is. Been trying to evaluate maps before heading out on the MS coast. It helps for sure but it blows my mind how much you can see where you are. Our water sucks lol.

Can u do a video dissecting a map of buttonwood bay in key largo? I have a place here and fish here occasionally but I'd like your opinion on where I should fish

Love your videos. I am going down to Longboat Key this week. My dad is already there and has been saying that the red tide practically killed everything. Not even any fish at the Marinas. I was wandering if you think it would be worth ruining up to Tampa Bay to fish and if so if you have any tripes. We go to Longboat every year and catch tons of snook and trout but the report has not been so good

I was surprised that you didn't demonstrate Google Earth. It has the history button so you can see the different tides (exposes oyster bars etc) and some days have a better view. The other ones are just a one shot deal. Also I get to see where the boats are fishing and on what tides. : ) From: Beaufort, SC the Low Country

Yes, the Google Earth map's historical feature is really cool. We teach the detailed pros and cons of the different map systems in our Finding Spots Mastery course... all of them have their unique pros and cons. We chose the normal Google Maps for this video because it's super easy to use and it does not require downloading anything (the easiest for beginners to get started).

We don't target them very often, but they have been fairly common bycatch the past few months.

Not sure how important it is for water features, but that aerial imagery is mostly flown in winter months. You can also check with the county property appraiser or GIS department for more current aerial imagery. Also, that spot you were at you can see the Lat/Lon coordinates in the url of your google map. :)

Yes, many of the GIS maps are extremely clear... only downfall is that they are sometimes tough to find and use... all depends on the county that put it together. As for the lat/lon in this video, we do not have any issues sharing spots that we find (you should see how many we share in the Insider Community platform on our site: www.saltstrong.com) because spots are only as good as the conditions of the given day.
