My first serious edit so don't be too harsh :) Shoutout to "Billu Feels" I used his clips from his edit. / @billufeels I used also some clips from this video: • Video Song: • The Perfect Girl - Mar...
Ay man it is literally the best way possible for me to calm the shit down or get motivation one thing I learnt from the edit never give up on ur self no ! matter what happens keep fighting u til u r the last !an standing
True but i think that even non german speakers should watch the german version bc it is so much better and there's more emotion, but indeed for german speakers ut hits even better
the ending of the older 30s version hits even harder he reaches out to touch a butterfly sitting on the barbed wire and boom, he's dead, sniper shot him, credits roll Another thing, the death of the kat I think Shrapnel wound to the back of the head whilst carried by Paul in the 1930s version Only to be found dead at the hospital Paul carried a dead man in his own shoulders
fun fact there was a scene in it where a french soldier was blown up while holding onto barbed wire and all that was left was is hands. The idea for that came from an extra who was a german soldier in the first world war.
Watching both All Quiet on the Western Front and Come and See back to back, has given me great insight into the reasonings WHY both WW1 and WW2 were so brutal and happened as they did.
It’s good to be educated on the was and whys of the horror of war but try take a break from the depressive movies back to back 😄 Wouldn’t want to make yourself too depressed now
@@gigachad2162 dude the dubbing on this movie was so fucking good the english dubbing sounded so natural and the lipsync for the english dub was almost on point
Probably one of the best movie i have ever watched. And i do believe that this is the Best Anti-War movie of all time. There is no heroism or patriotism. No good or bad , no bravery or sacrifice or any purpose. There is one and only Death. Meaningless Death...
Through all the terror that every single man in this forsaken war went through, the deaths of thousands, the sanity that was deprived; the families of women and children killed the absolute sadness each one of them must have felt must have been catastrophic. The average person today cannot even begin to comprehend what every man in this war must have felt. four years of sheer chaos in Europe with many dead making it Sisyphean to even be prosperous. The people who went through this war were all soldiers of their own but the soldiers were warriors. Also, I need to mention the editing. It is phenomenal. If this is your first serious edit, man, you should take this seriously. You should be proud of these edits
My brother, you are the reason why I watched this movie and played battlefield 1 again after all these years. thank you,.. This is truly an amazing edit 🔥👌
"The definition of war is that elder people who hate eachother but don't fight eachother make younger people that dont know eachother and dont hate eachother fight eachother" I heard this quote somewhere and this made me sad and realise the reality of war. Many young people die for the love of their country 💔
I'm russian, i'm sorry for german people in ww1 and ww2, even though we were enemies, i wish a happy life for all german people with peace in their country.
after watching all quiet on the western front i can safely say THIS IS THE ONLY TRUE ANTI-WAR FILM so much so it shows only 2 german soldiers survive to the end
@@benfrank9622 Anti-war films are impossible to produce due to the fact war in and of itself is unavoidable. Smudly butler, who wrote war is a racket, stated, "all wars are banker wars." Logically and historically all films which are produced with an Anti-war message are either funded by propaganda paid for by the aristocracy of society to demonize the "war fighter" or the "nation" or to promote the peasantry to die in wars for aristocratic plutocracy of banking house. Philosophically, there can be no Anti-war film. It's just propaganda for banks, corporations and intelligence agencies to socially engineer the civilian population to mass slaughter or to mass disinterest in self defense of their ancestral lands.
Imagine a minute or a few seconds later that you are killed for nothing by a bullet, bomb or something else, or that your closest friends are killed by someone you have never seen. I watched the movie and people are very sad about the fact that the events in this movie were worse and 20 years later a much worse and bigger war broke out. More civilians than soldiers died in World War II.
1917 and all quiet on the western front are really good and sad movies. They both show what had happened on both sides. The movies are really good and you should watch them both if you haven’t.
You could see in the trench line right before they go into combat, it’s when the realization hits. “Wait..this shit is really happening…” and then once it’s over it’s like you don’t recognize yourself. Your changed, the explosions the deaths. It’s now “wait, this shit really happened.” You don’t even have the time to go HOLY SHIT, I KILLED THAT GUY. HOLY SHIT, THAT GUY NEXT TO ME JUST DIED. And that’s how PTSD forms cause your body can’t react properly to what’s going on and at some point it turns natural.
This hits hard you earned yourself a sub this is a piece of art and I am not copying this text and thats a promise signed by director ad this is so amazing I have showed it to a wide range of discord and snapchat groups and many other things I am taking my time here because im bored and when im bored I love to do things like this also I have never watched All quiet on the western front any reply's would be nice rating it but this hits hard and I would like to say a thank you to all the soliders in WW2 and WW1 god has mercy on them and you cant blame the soliders for bad leadership ( skill issue ) But this is amazing I have shown all my friends and this song is one of my favs thank you for creating such a masterpiece of and song edit but also I haven't only subcribed but my friends have as well thank you for all your efforts 😀
I have been a soldier myself, one year military mandatory service in which we lived like dogs and survived how we could. But I could never live something like this.
„This story is to be neither an accusation nor a confession, and least of all an adventure, for death is not an adventure to those who stand face to face with it.“ -Erich Maria Remarque
Paul trato de salvarlo pero ya era demasiado tarde el sufrimiento en ese momento fue tan horrible mil respetos para esta película fue una de las mejores
As my great grandpa said before he died in war : "Carry on one death to protect others is enough to satisfy me before heaven or hell." Btw he was in the german army .
''They thought war was an adventure, not even the half of them came back. Those were just kids being controlled by people who only care about their own benefits.''
