Your Father was a gent for helping us all dress ourselves properly! I have used this technique ever since I first viewed this video around four years ago. It works every single time, and no more awful-looking slanted knots. Baffling that it works EVERY single time - even when you think you've messed it up, it still snugs up looking nice. THANK you for sharing this with us!
Hands down the best knot I've seen period. No slouch or uneven sides. It's full and drapes to a perfect lenght. Easy to tie as well. Thank you for making this vid!
Pefect! I am a recruit in the Swiss Army and we always need to tie our neck ties before going out. Now I can share my knowledge with my fellow colleagues. Thanks to you and your dad!
I never knew how to tie a tie. My son came to me with a tie he needed tied for his ROTC uniform. I watched several demos prior to this, and was still left not fully understanding. After this video, I am now a pro in a matter of minutes. Great demo!!! Happy Mom!!
I havn't tied a tie since 3rd grade and I have a wedding to go to next week. After about 10 videos I found this one and it worked magnificently. Thank You sir for your time and excellent video. Did it on the first try and had no trouble every time after. Very helpful.
Thanks a lot! Before I could use a windsor knot , I used your knot (now I know it is a Pratt Knot) countless amount of time. Your dad either know ties well or he just learnt it from somebody else, When I search about ties I found that the "Pratt Knot" is just a Simple Knot with a loop to counter the asymmetry ,I figured it out myself after an hour of tinkering and I realized that I have watched a video just like that. Genius!
I tried so many videos to teach my son to tie a tie, and this was the only one that gave us a perfect knot! Thank you very much and thanks to your father!
I'm old as dirt and have never really got the hang of a 'good' technique albeit the typical half and full 'Duke of Winsor' knots. However, after watching and practicing your father's method I'm finally able to have a perfect looking tie knot. Thank you soOoo much! Regards,
unbelievable, thanks so much. This is the same knot my dad tried to teach me when I was a kid and I just couldn't get it....brought back some old memories for me. I agree with you, the "Windsor" knot is not as nice looking as this one. Cheers from Canada.
You have NO idea how thankful i am for this video. My Senior Photo was Tomorrow. I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO TIE A NECKTIE Thank you very much i appreciate you sharing your dads Knowledge with me. This is by far the easiest video for neckties
It's a good Sunday morning here, so I decided to learn how to make a knot by myself and I find this tutorial perfect. Now I know how to make a tie and I appreciate this video a lot. Thank you!
Your video is still helping others-- I was getting too frustrated with the Windsor knot videos and instructions (could never get it sized right) and there's your video to the rescue-- Thanks a million!
Many Thanks for teaching us the easiest way of tying a tie. :) I really needed a new way to changing that old, never looking good, tie knot. Now, it looks just the way I want it. Cheers
This helped me so much....i am a female security guard and my clip on tie that was issued with my uniform broke. So i dismantled it. I think clip on ties are made smaller in length, any who i tried several videos but this method worked despite it being a little short. So i just wanted to give you props and say thanks. :)
My husband was rushing to get ready for a job interview and panicked because he didn't know how to tie his tie, so while he was in the shower i youtubed a few videos, and out of the 4 i found, this was the best and easiest way to tie it. He got out of the shower and was very pleased with the results :-) I had to retie it a few times to get it long enough for him, so now i am a pro lol it was very easy to remember! Thanks for posting this!!
Thank You so much You cannot believe how relieved I am to finally find a tutorial that actually works so fantasticaly well I'll be using this method forever !! Thanks !
Thank you so much, this is the best knot and its consistent every time. I tied every tie for the groomsman at my sister's wedding because everyone liked how it looked so much.
Excellent! I'd been looking for a knot like this for ever. I have a tie made of wool, really thick material, but it's also a skinny tie. I've learned that this combination makes it really hard to tie a good-looking knot. The double windsor doesn't work, because the tie is too thick, and the single knots presented in other videos are really asymmetric. I tried this one and it's perfect. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much!!! I was trying the knot I had learned from other videos but none came out as good as the one you showed. thank you for sharing this with the world.
That was amazing! I struggle with my tie each and every time. Just recently graduated from tying it on my leg to now after 40 + years I am now finally tying it around my neck, but after seeing what your father taught you, I now know how to properly tie a tie!! Thank-you, Brian Turner
Excellent video...thank you very much. As an individual who is 6'3", and a fan of the Windsor knot, it is difficult to get a standard length tie to not shorten quite a bit because much of the tie length is used up. This knot still produces a very similar look to the Windsor when finished, and I do not lose the length with my standard ties. Glad that I found your video. It could have been very expensive to have had to replace all of my ties with longer ones just to accomplish the look that I wanted.
Thank you so much you helped me look good... I just got a job with Disney and all through training I kept getting complimented on how well my tie and the way I was dressed looked!!....😀 Thank you so much you rock!!
Thank You Mr.Cameron for teaching me how to tie a tie in another simpler way. Usually I have 3-4 ties already knotted readymade, and wear it like a Tshirt thru head.
I spent about a half hour watching some other videos (got a free tie for a good cause from My Nice Tie but still couldn't get the knot right) then I saw this one. It's a very different technique and I think this is a half Windsor, but it turned out great the second try and then every try after, even got the dimple. Thank you camswitzer and dad.
God Bless you, man!!!! I studied and studied your video and practiced and practiced and practiced and I now know the way to tie the PERFECT tie finally ;-)
Your instructions were bang on! I watched your video with a brand new tie I bought and with one try the knot came out perfect and even had a crease. Thanks a million sir!
This is so great, thanks. I use ties a lot in costume and all the guys come to me, asking me to do it, but it never looks that nice, until now. Thanks.
first I was thinking like what are you talking about then i forward and forward thinking that i would have wasted my time. And then I follow your detail and finish it and I was like Omg this is the best knot I've ever had. So you have my most precious thanks sir!
