The Perfect Leachie Enclosure!

I usually enjoy your content but this is far from a perfect "enclosure" for a leachie. They do amazingly in far more space and require UVB and many other factors to really thrive. You are right to say they love the cork rounds but by keeping them in such a small tub you are denying them they chance to practice any kind of natural behaviour other than eat and breed and these geckos are far more advanced than that. Please don't tell pet owners that this is ok. Just because they fit in a box and have a little bit of space doesn't mean they should be kept in a relatively small box. These are amazing animals that have evolved over millions of years to thrive in a very specific set of conditions and in an extremely large area. A small tub like this doesn't serve a healthy animal at all, only the person who owns it. This isn't the perfect "enclosure" and shouldn't be encouraged to be used as such. I don't know if it is necessary for a large scale breeder to keep leachies like this but it certainly is not necessary for a pet owner to house their geckos in such a way. I hope that throughout the reptile industry, from breeders to pet owners, we see shift from the idea that providing minimum care is ok to providing high quality care that is based off the latest science and evidence and that this care at least meets the 5 freedoms of animal welfare.

If you had super giants in all those tanks you would be set for life now you have to make time to throw away these reptiles and find some super giant leopard geckos , if you need to I can throw them away for you I won’t keep them I have too many super giants leopard geckos I need to take care of

I really want a leachianus but I have never owned a gecko I have 5 ball-pythons im getting a gecko for my birthday i really like the super dalmatian crested gecko i will work with the crested first until im a seasoned keeper than if everything is good im definitely getting a leachianus as well Godwilling
