During this season, 100s of thousands of new cell trail cam setups will hit the woods. After most likely reviewing every model of cell cam produced prior to 2019 on my client parcels across the country, many of those cell cams are set up for failure before the season begins. While cheap cell cams, poor cell cam systems, poor cell cam photos and short battery life is the norm, that will likely not be the case with the new Exodus Render!
This will be my 4th hunting season usimg Exodus Trail Cams. I love my the Lift II models! Now with the new Render, I can't wait to use this proven system as a cell cam. check out the link:
bit.ly/JSturgis
5 year warranty and I have had zero hunting season failures. 2" viewing screen, true HD video and extremely high quality. I am running up to 20 trail cams at one time and regardless of the B roll I need for videos...I rely on the trail cams heavily for learning buck behavior, in season census, buck home range and for making informed hunting decisions. This new Exodus Render trail cam is sure to be a game changer...

Solid camera it looks like. Hard to stray from my Spypoint link evo’s though 😬. I have two Evo’s and both of them have been running strong since 9/1/2018 on AA lithium batteries, no solar panel or 12v. Unreal in my opinion. Still show 100% battery and I get pics sent once a day still, in Wisconsin where we had a terribly cold stretch. I also had both of them set to send real-time pics for about a two week stretch during the rut, didn’t seem to drain battery as 9 months later still 100% battery. Exodus has some solid stuff though

Jeff that solar panel is the way to go on cell cameras! All of my cell cams have them. Never swap out batteries, booger an area, or dead cams again! Rechargeable batteries! no more lithiums!

The cool thing is that my cams last with video over 3 months right now and j just change them when I swap cards at some point while hunting a nearby stand. But man with those cell cams they will be perfect! Especially when I can hide them 6' higher than the cam, separate from the cam

Any update on the cell camera? How is it performing? Can you do a video on how you set up the camera? I would like to see some tips on how you mounted the solar panel. Switched to cell cameras this spring... between having to drive an hour and a half to my property and the gas spent it's well worth it. One of the biggest reasons I switched is checking cameras when I get back from hunting and seeing the nice bucks that were passed my stand throughout the week. Case and point November 10th had a great encounter with a nice 10 pointer who was locked on a doe...got to 45 yds broadside before she turned direction and led him away....I was so pumped until I got home and looked at my camera right by my stand and he was there alone multiple times a day 3 consecutive days on the 6th through 8th. If I have had these then and seeing him passing my stand a few times in a couple hours I'd be on my way up instantly.

@@whitetailhabitatsolutions9751 very good point on unfair advantage. With our small parcel, bucks often only pass through right now and may only be around for 1 day. So there mayyyy have been times when we received a cell cam pic of a big buck wandering around and immediately dropped work and rushed out to hunt 😁. But it's also REALLY nice for confronting trespassers.

I’m goin to put a water hole at my stand. It can’t hurt nothing. Them ponds I told you bout are in the open I believe the deer would use a water hole better in my stand location. It’s hid in a thicket but open where my stand is. A big hole surrounded by pines prob 15-20 feet tall around the hole. I thank a water hole would work great there.

Jeff, Have you ever considered or thought of holding a class or seminar on one or more of your properties? You could show and talk about pretty much everything relating to hunting a property, charge the same amount of what you do for a day but spreading that cost over a certain class size. It would also make a great selling opportunity for your sponsors as well. Just a thought if that is something you would consider, if it is sign me up!! I really love looking and learning about "small parcels" Thanks again for great info

Hi Randy I have done that several times throughout the years...even going all the way back to my UP of MI property in the early 2000s. I think I am at 25-30 habitat days including what I have done on mine or others lands. The last one was $500 per person for a 1 day event and I had around 20 show up. The problem is that it takes a weekend away. I already have full trips that take a weekend a month, a short trip that takes a 2nd, and between kids family and my own work on the lands my weekends are worth a whole lot to me. I think my first habitat days were around 18 years ago. Just too much other work to do. It seems good on paper but it would take a lot to take a weekend away from me, in particular when combined with the preparation, food, facility, workbooks, power point presentation, etc. My sponsors/partners like the several million RU-vid views I will give their products this year, depending on the products. The articles I will write with links, personal recommendations to clients... Always trying to make sure what works the best! I think I've given 70-80 presentations going back a long time...just hard to fit it all in. Hope that makes sense and I appreciate the interest! Maybe I will have to hold one this year...

Loving the WHS videos for the past 3 weeks or so. I'm a few days from 62 lol. Just decided to get back into whitetail hunting again after 30 plus years. Too many nuisance deer in my area. Picked up an Excalibur Micro 355. I've been looking at trail cams for the past few months and right now I'm totally dismayed with what's out there. According to numerous reviews. Folks are paying BIG MONEY for trail cams that seem to have a mind of there own. the failure rate is crazy and it seems the customer support on many of these are Nonexistent or shoddy at best. It is very discouraging. So now here I am looking at the Exodus line. I would be looking at the Lift or Trek models. Support, quality product, and warranty would be my biggest wants in a product. Everyone seems to be saying that here.

Don't be shy about trying out the cheap chinese cams. I was always leery of them, assuming they were crap. I have moultrie, browning, covert, bushnell, spypoint, tasco, etc. Received a cheap chinese cam as a gift last year. Expected nothing from it when i put it out. But was pretty amazed with it's quality, especially for it's price. Now i have several. And the best thing about them? Not caring/worrying about them too much, as there isn't ridiculous amounts of $$ invested in them. The big name cam companies are absurdly over-priced, especially when one reads about people's dealings with dud cameras and customer service. No more for me.

5000 photos on a set of batteries partially defeats the purpose of using a cell cam, you are going to have to disturb the area to replace the batteries too often or have to travel long distances in some cases to replace batteries. Hell....I had 350+ deer photos on a camera that was only out for 4 days last week with no baiting.

After running more of the Renders and keeping a close eye on power consumption, we've seen camera's far exceed the 5,000 mark. If you're running a cell camera the way it is intended to be used, we strongly suggest using a solar panel.

I would assume they don’t because I personally would t want a camera that large. I know if you go to Exodus website they sell there camera and there solar panels. I know it’s not build in but then it you can mostly please everyone. Also with how much power the cell cams need, send pictures and operate they consume more batteries. Chad explains it pretty well on how to maximize the battery life in this video and I’m sure if you called them they would also give tips. Technology is always progressing so I am sure at some point this won’t be an issue but due to costs (cost to build the camera and how much you would have to pay) this is where it’s at!!!

Right now I had 13/16 setups that a deer didn't look at all season. 1000s of pics. Make that trail cam larger and it could kill a spot. When I use the panel it will be as high in the tree as I can get it. Also, with a solar panel you face it to the south...trail cam setup, north.
