By the way if anyone ever attempts to go here, please, please, please check the tides and weather, etc. People have died here and plenty more have had to be rescued. Not long ago, someone actually fell from up above and landed down below, and died instantly. I cover breaking news in Orange County, mostly south OC, and I live in the Dana Point/Capo Beach area, so I've been here. I'd also recommend you bring water and snacks, possibly wear board shorts or bring swimwear. The long walk you saw them taking is also dangerous due to landslides or cliff collapses, so I recommend not taking the footpath closest to the cliff. Sure it is easier and probably safer from a don''t twist your ankle perspective, but plenty of cliffs/bluffs in SoCal have already collapsed and killed plenty of people. This spot is actually no joke and if you did not check the tides, you could be in real trouble as your only escape route will be cutoff. You could technically enter the water from the cave and swim north to the next beach landing, but going south back down the rocky path gets dangerous when the tides rise. I have two Nikon/Profoto A1x's and I'm considering the A2 shown here, and selling one A1x to help pay for the difference. I do much portraits or use flash/strobes very often, but I absolutely love Profoto and love my A1x's!
You can get 2 Godox ad300 pros for the same price as one of the Profoto A2 strobes and for 95% of ya'll out there.. it'll work just fine. I mean.. Unless you have $900-$1000 for 1 little strobe. Then sure.. but for everyone else.. save that money.
such a great video and amazing photo. Hope one day I can afford a profoto a2, one day.... for now i'll use the cheaper version, the godox ad100 with it's terrible green colour cast that's semi fixed by a gel.
