Awesome, Thank you for imparting your vast knowledge of LR, Ai, etc., Amazing how much time your "Pre-Set" can save in post processing, and increase our personal knowledge of this fast moving Technology. I am very appreciative of your knowledge & time. I am an old man in the Winter of <y life,, and have seen & experienced a lot in Engineering & Technolgiy. Truly amaing. I also enjoy your smooth voice, and detailed instructions. Thank you.
Separation of subject is comparable but you can’t get such lens compression with the 85mm. But like someone else mentioned already, you need to have that space to increase distance from you and your subject to shoot at 150-200mm. Just depends on your use cases.
the after backlit is really good but one of the most common issues i see is that the subject looks kinda flat, i think a light from the side would add more shadows and contrast, thank you so much i never thought about that backlit part
you talked about a phone compnay making a phone with lenses.. that is basically what samsung had done many years ago.. they were ahead of their time and therefore did not catch on.. but now, could be a different story
actually, I would think a comparision in dark scenario would be more fair considering the big aperture from f1.2. Daylight pictures, I am not expecting much difference..
Hi, I’m planning to buy this lens ( 17-70 2.8 tamron ) specifically for wedding photography, covering both the ceremony and reception. My camera body is the Sony a6400. Previously, I used the Sony 18-105mm f/4 lens, but I found it lacking in sharpness. Could you please recommend a suitable lens that would provide better image quality for these types of events? Thank you!

Ok I got a new Mac and went to reload my VF presets and I was presented with this. Now how do I get my presets back with impossible things. Because they didn't come over with it.
Get a grip gang. AI is here to stay. In fact it's been here and it's not new. I know its thrown many for a loop. But so did the horse less carriage, the telephone, electronic mail(email). Lol. I honestly was bothered by Dvlop change until I saw your video Pye.
Good video.... So many people don't bother learning the basics behind Lighting a set.... RU-vidrs.... People who work in poorly.. Hope you're not offended heh.. .. Just seems more virtual for them.. But must don't make any effort... No matter what we're lighting up.. Just need 3 basin lights.. Key fill and back... And expands from there if needed and can afford
Comparing the 70-200 with the 85mm f/1.2 DS is comparing the worst bokeh version of the 85. Yes you can say the DS blurs more (Gaussian type), but the background is more present than with the non-DS version.
