Really? I don't. As a matter of fact the opposite is true. As the Coach Michaels stated; "Brittany is my best 800m runner I have ever had".. Even so. He was incapable to develop Brittany's potential. If he was not able to do so with Brittany then one must ask a question; "how many other runners failed to achieve their potential under the Coach Michaels's tutelage. Ask yourself; "what would happen to Brittany if the coach Michaels did not retire?". And the answer is obvious, Brittany would be the second best runner in the state, at best. But, most of all she would not learn the lesson. The lesson which would stay with her for the rest of her live. The lesson she would pass to her children and her grandchildren. And that is why I fail to understand why they would visited him in the hospital to thank him for his role as a coach. Also, why is he positioned in the middle, in the very last scene of the movie, and Coach Courtney Smith-Donnelly and Brittany to the side of him. He did not do anything to deserve it. He should not have been in that scene at all. Only Coach Courtney Smith-Donnelly and Brittany deserve the prize for excellence. I guess mediocracy deserve gold medal as much as the excellence. The only thing a appreciate about him is that he was able to admit and accept his failure by saying to Brittany; "...promise me you will run exactly as Coach Courtney Smith-Donnelly told you to....".

Then, to Me you shall all return, and I shall judge between you as to that you were at variance. (55)As for those who disbelieve, I will sternly punish them in this world and in the Everlasting Life, there shall be none to help them. (56)As for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full. Allah does not love the harmdoers. (57)This, We recite to you of the verses and the Wise Remembrance. (58)Truly, the likeness of (Prophet) Jesus with Allah, is as the likeness of Adam, He created him from dust then He said to him "Be" and he was. (59)The truth is from your Lord, therefore, do not be among the doubters. (60)Those who dispute with you concerning him after the knowledge has come to you, say: 'Come, let us gather our sons and your sons, our womenfolk and your womenfolk, ourselves and yourselves. Then let us humbly pray, so lay the curse of Allah upon the ones who lie. ' (61)This is indeed the truthful narration. There is no god except Allah. It is Allah who is the Almighty, the Wise. (62)If they turn away, Allah knows the evildoers. (63)Say: 'People of the Book, let us come to a common word between us and you that we will worship none except Allah, that we will associate none with Him, and that none of us take others for lords besides Allah.
