@@ColleteDavis These new, custom wheels definitely look GRAND! The inner wheel spoke shapes, form, style fit with this vehicle body very well and the chosen color is also very suitable too. The additional red stickers match well with the red brake calipers, bottom, side skirt trim and the other red trim on the rear and elsewhere on the body too. 😄 However, having one spoke red with the company markings appears strange, unbalanced and too much even for one spoke, especially compared with the red proportions of the red calipers, trim etc. on the body. If the sticker is clear with just red lettering then this would be more balanced and proportional, also on only one spoke, Better still, would be to have the other, opposing engraved lettering in red also, perhaps the other engravings too, if desired or some thin red pin stripping around the circular edge of the wheel or on the edge of the spokes or how You would enjoy having. 😆 The 'tie dye' shirts are interesting, artistic and creative. it is interesting to me to see this concept return into 'fashion' from the inception in the 1960s, especially with the 'anti-war', 'Peace', 'Hippie', etc. movement interconnections. 😏 It was mostly done just by individuals, and some attempted to produce and sell them on mass, but the large companies and others that attempted were a bit late on the trend, thus not successful, and the fad, trend 'died' [dyed] out'. There are a few things which seem also a bit strange about the Veloster now. Since Hyundai is actually a [South] Korean auto manufacture company/corporation, are JDM, Japanese products, especially those marked, engraved with 'made in Japan' on them actually appropriate for any Hyundai ? 🤔 Am also a bit surprised, Collete, that You, having been a Hyundai Racing Team driver and currently have connections don't know how to properly pronounce the company name. 🙄 When Hyundai first began exporting their vehicles and were imported, sold in the USA in 1985, i was working as an design engineer in LA, CA [South Bay] area, with many other engineers from Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Japan or Japanese descents, and others from SE Asia and other countries too. The Koreans definitely spoke, showed, conveyed, portrayed their 'nationalist', 'allegiance, 'pride' and excitement with the importation of the Hyundai vehicles and purchased them too. My fellow Korean workers were the ones from whom i heard them pronounce the name of Hyundai properly. 😏 It would seem to me, that their country pride will also lead them to dislike seeing wheels with 'made in Japan' on a Korean vehicle, and might not criticize the individual, but speak about it among themselves as derogatory with a bit of sarcasm too.🤨 Perhaps this is something to consider if You represent Hyundai as one within the Hyundai Racing Team too. 🤔 Perhaps especially since this vehicle was arranged by the company and You intend its use for Your track practice too. Maybe the Hyundai sponsors can help arrange for You to get some Korean custom wheels which are suitable for and to Your liking too. Am very aware from Your automobile collection, You have vehicles from several Japanese manufactures, which You seem to prefer based upon number, along with Your GM, Chevrolet, Corvette C6 and Audi A8 TT RS. Sadly, 😒 the Korean, Hyundai, quality, durability, reliability, power, performance, etc. was noticeably not near or close to the Japanese, US and European, but they have certainly improved through the years. This has been especially noticeable with the lower quality of the metals, metallurgy, and the metal manufacture processes are noticeably lacking which affect durability, strength, reliability, etc. and especially important with motor vehicles. Also their exterior painting was noticeably lacking and within three years, the exterior paint finish appears like an old car damaged by the sun, especially in southern California. Clearly they have improved that also, and more noticeably. The older Japanese vehicles of the early 1970s showed, wear and damage from the sun more easily than US and European manufactures then too. The Japanese vehicles by 1978, had already improved the exterior paint and some other aspects to be comparable with others and their own high quality within the metallurgy, engines, etc. Also every manufacture has improved the durability of their exterior paint and other aspects too. Most of my vehicles then were Japanese, specifically four Toyota [Celicas, Corollas], a Mazda [rotary RX-4/Cosmo], though my first vehicle was a German made Opel Manta, and the best of all, a MB sedan. All of my vehicles were purchased used, and i am a mechanic, technician, etc.also, such all of the maintenance, repair, modifications, etc.work was done by me too.
