Me- hears excessive pops during deceleration in this video. nope that sounds super annoying. Also me- I love my popcorn tune it is music to my ears and everyone should hear the pops my car makes

How much did the whole swap cost? Blew my engine last month and seeing if I can afford for a v8 swap, thinking of a 5.3 because it would be cheaper but if the LS is worth it i might save up a little more
I've heard that its more similar to stock in weight and center of gravity than you might expect for doubling the cylinders and 3x the displacement, and significantly better than swapping a toyota JZ motor in this platform
@@danieleklemen3834 it's not a big engine. Only high displacement, not in physical size due to it being pushrod (no overhead cams) and all aluminium. speaking of not having overhead cams, this, and the intake being plastic makes the LS have a very low centre of gravity, not as good as the boxer of course, but next best thing in that regard.
It depends what kind of racing you do. The united states have those acceleration races on straights. For that it's perfectly fine. In Europe, you have time attack on twisty roads, and balance is a real plus for those.
This is the coolest fucking thing ever. Just got my GT86 Blanco a couple months back and the 200bhp gets old and slow FAST. Even coming from a 110bhp hatchback. This is definitely my goal for the car now. Do you know how much you spent?

aegisranger Those pops are tuned lol. He did that on purpose. It’s controlled. He can choose when it pops. He used Open Flash Tablet to do the “popcorn” tune.
@@mustangman289hp You're right. But I don't think the LS pops that much naturally, unless it's completely straight piped. But it doesn't sound like that. Most likely, he did a tune to do that. It sounds like after fires.
Ma street legal in che senso? Premetto che me ne intendo poco della burocrazia italiana, ma da quel che so, gli swap del motore e soprattutto con aumento di cilindrata al primo posto di blocco ti sequestrano l'auto...
Se l'auto é di provenienza estera ed ha tutto riportato sul libretto non ci sono problemi, se la modifica é stata elaborata in italia puoi rivolgerti ad agenzie specializzate ed a seguito di perizie e controlli di varia natura verrà reimmatricolata come esemplare unico (pratica molto costosa)
