Painter and Miller should be untouchable. Anybody else I think is up for grabs. Miller is our future in our infield, and painter is gonna make an impact as soon as he fully recovers from tommy John
My favorite trade target is Randy Arozarena. He is a really good hitter, has speed, and can play great defense. He is the complete player in my opinion. I love his enthusiasm for the game. He is still young and he doesn't cost a whole lot, and is under control for the next 2 years, I believe.
I think they should take a serious look at Matt Vierling if he’s available. He’s a homegrown Phillies player, he’s a good defender with versatility, and he’s become a decent hitter.
At one time, participation in the home run Derby was seen as a curse to many of its participants. The theory goes that is a participant alters his swing for the competition and it carries over back into gameplay. Thanks for the video!
If you can get Robert, you probably have to move one of Painter or Miller. Preferably Miller given his path to playing time is 3 years away, if he's even ready any earlier than that. Painter coming off TJ won't be up in the majors until mid-season next year at the earliest, but that 5th starter spot will be there if he's ready. Tanner Scott should be the main target for the bullpen, and I do not believe the price tag would that high. Bellinger is probably going to cost the least due the contract, but it's not the worst option given its only 2 more years.
I'm not one of these guys who who thinks Aiden Miller is going to turn our team around in 5 years. He also has no clear path to the bigs with Alec at third, and if any spots going to be opening up it's going to be Trea moving to DH, as he is most likely to be around given his contract. You don't trade painter unless you're getting a world beater with 4 + years of Team control. But Miller? THIS IS OUR WINDOW. Strider is gone. Acuna is gone. Dodgers are banged up... we blew it last year, and now it looks like God has blessed us with a third chance... Go out there and get someone like Robert, Jazz, Belli, or any number of right-handed outfielders that can give you 30 home runs, RBIs, and a plus glove
Hey Shelfy! Love the show! In my opinion, I feel that the Phillies should NOT trade Andrew Painter or Aiden Miller. Maybe not even Starlyn Caba. I think they should make Abel and Crawford at least available for the right player, and try to include Rojas or Pache in a deal. What is your take on who is available?
Brodes is unwatchable. He took the preteen RU-vid trend of screaming at the camera while playing video games and used that exact Style for sports videos.... Give me DJ Eastwood for Sixers stuff, and I'm honestly still in the market for a good Phillies podcast. Maybe this is it?
5:45 This team 1000% has untouchables. Aiden Miller and Andrew Painter should not be up for trade for anything. Justin Crawford and Mick Abel on the other hand I think could def be on their way out if we get a team heavy controlled outfielder. I don't want that Bellinger contract at all even tho it feels like he'd fit in the best in Philly but another lefty bat feels rough too. I dislike Jazz doesn't seem like a good fit for the team and he's just never really impressed me. Luis Robert is scary to trade for with injury history if the White Sox want a Juan Soto level type of return not happening. Rooker makes sense, yeah defense sucks but gotta bite the bullet I think. We need a power OF bat but Taylor Ward is also a great option I feel.
painter and miller should be off the board, they have the chance to be incredible. plus there’s something to be said about not wanting to shake up the group too much. you can’t deny the vibes and chemistry are really good right now. i also hope they don’t move Caba, for those who haven’t heard of him look up his walk rates it’s unbelievable for an 18 year old kid or however old he is
Rooker from As solid bat but bad at D. Phillies have a issue cause KS is the DH seems always but when JT comes back he can't catch 6 games a week. I dunno what there gonna do. I dont understand why Pache is on team.
