Exasperating! Endless name dropping very little actual art. Show me some work. Tate guy keeps repeating that there is very little opportunity for young photographers to show their work in galleries. As if it’s a brilliant insight. Has he never heard of age discrimination. Being young isn’t a qualification for anything. Does he perhaps mean emerging photographers, when ever they were born. Publisher woman just talks about her friends. Merton Parr keeps going on about, wow! I discovered this photographer in this funny foreign country. Sigh! Patronizing. Architect, Parr’s sidekick, in obsessed with the market value of prints. As if photographs were oil paintings. The whole point about photography is that it is endlessly reproducible,especially in a world with social media.
