A viewer told me last week that after they liked my video and left a comment, they received a promising email from a Nigerian prince offering them wealth beyond their wildest dreams. I can't promise it'll happen for you too, but it's worth a go 🤷‍♂

I have to say, as someone starting photography I think your channel has some of the best content for amateur photographers who are learning and trying to figure out what kind of photographer they want to be. Great advice, calm demeanor and not pushing people into thinking they need the best gear on the market. Thank you for the content and keep up the amazing work.

Love that waterfall, the tree fallen across it adds to the story, the weather and time endured in nature. Sometimes it is best to leave something in, not take it out!

I love all your shots, Joshua, that one with the burst of colour in the centre and the besutiful reflection was a real find. I love your attitude, I too feel so grateful to be a landscape photographer experiencing so much that nature has to offer.

The branches frame the little tree quite well in #1. And the rest, absolutely wonderful. Great compositions! I love the progress of your journey through your career. And I agree - sometimes you have to let the images find you. Just be open to what is there. Keep up the great work!!

Regarding photos that comes when you don't expect them; I did hike to the Pulpit Rock a little over a month ago, and planned to take some photos there before the sun set. There were surprisingly few people present, and I got some photos taken. However, as I was about to go down, the clouds opened up, and I could see some beautiful light coming from the west. I ran up whatever paths I found, and got a series of photos that I am very, very happy with. Much more so than any of the photos I planned for. There's a beauty to being outside and to be open for these opportunities that suddenly arise.

i love those branches in the photo. they add lines to the photo. They line up nicely with the slope of the rock. I love the 2 matching horizontal log/branch to the top right, kinda pointing towards the diagonally sloped branch that follows the contour of the rock. I just know what my eye likes, and it really likes this photo!

Another good one Joshua and I would keep the branches in, great waterfall photo. My favourite though is that lone orange tree across the lake it just draws your eyes right in and the whole photo just opens up, beautiful. have a great week Joshua.

I like the lake reflection images. The waterfall is a very good picture, as a new landscape photographer, lake reflection pictures are what I seem to enjoy the most.

The large, horizontal, moss covered branches are an essential element and help to make the composition IMHO.

I like the composition of that first photo. Those branches are a real element, and I think one would remove them only in error. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but as a landscape photographer, I would assume you want to capture the real authentic scene as it is. Great photo. Keep up the great lessons.

Your videos are truly great lessons to take out into the journey of photography. I got started a little later in life due to, well, life. I've always wanted to take that great shot out in nature, and I just haven't been able to. I have a few that I like, but not one that I'm just like...that's the one. Also, I live in the lower panhandle of Texas where there are no mountains, trees, and large bodies of water.

Love the branch over the top. it looks like the old tree of the forest is protecting the seedling trying to get a foot hold in life. Sometimes, taking things out and making things simple is great, but is it telling a story. Very subjective. Look into the image, not at it. Well done. I

Being a waterfall guy myself, for the most part, I like, when the waterfall is a little messy with broken limbs, and things laying where they’re not supposed to

That photo of the waterfall and the trees is absolutely stunning the way you’ve done it is amazing! are tripods safe in water? I’ve never thought of putting mine in, but means I’ve got so much more options
@TheJoshuaPeg

Tripods are perfectly fine in water, as long as you make sure they’re well grounded so they don’t tip over and drop your camera in 😬

Thanks for another great video Joshua. Stunning photos. Don't you dare removing the branches 😂, they add so much especially with the moss. Myself, I like to include them, when possible. Most people would remove them, but there, they frame the fall nicely. Keep it up.

Starting as a photographer hobbyist I am wondering how the light fell so heavily on your little tree in the first image. Was it the colours of the leave combined with a bit of exposure edit?
@kenschaub4119
@kenschaub4119 11 месяцев назад
My criterion / criteria for stopping and taking a random shot is the realization that . . . “ I don’t see something like this everyday”. Thus it gets snapped. Can’t say mine look like post cards or might be confused with AI generated imagery, but the most important box is checked: i like it because I took it, and i can see it any day I want to.

A real photographer makes it as identical as he/she experienced it. A creator (like ai) makes the photo as he/she wanted it to be like. And if you are that type, Google pictures and edit is the same thing. Let Hollywood own that 😊 In short, keep it as you see it 😊 adapt the situation/environment. Don't change it 💪
