Hi Alex.... I like the "do you have time approach" very good. A smooth way to say I have already made up my mind that I want to photograph you, however the choice remains yours. Thats class my friend. Great images. 😎📷👍

I don’t think I’ve ever heard Alex talking about his passion and motivation for photography before, as he’s always showing a more “goofy” side of his own but it sure is refreshing. Love his photography and it’s great to know his take on it too. Great video!

Roman, this was a fantastic interview. Love Alex's demeaner and style. It didn't actually feel like an interview, just like a fun conversation filled with information. It's so interesting to me because I'm also very much a people person. My daughter always accuses me of talking to strangers on street corners. And, it's true. Do it all the time, just never considered adding some photography to it. Thanks again for bring these interviews to us! Have a rockin' day!

This is the first “walkie talkie” interview that I enjoyed! The questions posed were fantastic! I love how chill Alex’s approach to street is so relaxed - “Don’t set yourself up for failure” and I loved his ethical code/approach to street photography (be polite, ask about the subject and then ask). Thank you Roman - you’re not only a fantastic photographer but a wonderful interviewer too!

Amazing video, Roman. And great learning experience with Alex. I'll be following him very closely. I've always been quite shy and worried about rejection and confrontation. I've shot a few front portraits, actually without even asking the subject, and their faces tell they are not very amused about it. So with this approach about meeting the people or at least hear about what they do, and then if they agree take a picture is an eye opener. I will be applying this technique on my next street photography outing. Thanks for doing this, Roman. Please keep it up.

Great interview with Alex! I can see he really thinks about his art of photography. This video has made me think about why i transitioned from digital to film photography, and I do think of my photography more of an art form and the joy it gives me as an art/creative outlet. Thanks Alex for sharing your viewpoint!

Best video yet, Roman! A lot of my Minolta(s) film days memories when I used to just take "pictures" & not photographs in my career travels over the decades. Happy with digital , but having second thoughts if selling my film equipment for a steal was such a good idea. Not going to dwell on the past though.

I came close but I just don’t get the point of it objectively. I respect it, the art and the skill required of course. Hence the video. However keep in mind that I dont see photography as an art form for me. It’s just a way for me to document my travels and life.

Hi Roman and Alex. Really enjoyed the video. Interesting to see how Alex works and why. Ironic that Alex was attracted to the guys blue hair only to realise later he was shooting black and white. Great photos though. I bought a Yashicat many years ago but hardly used it. I never sold it because it was so beautiful, I think I may see if I can get some rolls of film and try again.

I like Alex' way to approach people. Such a nice guy and really not a typical street photographer by any means. It looks like there's a lot going on in Tokyo, but somehow I can't shake the feeling that the people there are very relaxed and you get the feeling that there are absolutely no unsafe areas or that you have to be afraid of being mugged... Is it so or is it deceptive ??

Great vid and love these meet ups with other photographers but I will never understand why people opt for film in this day an age, I heard what he said but it still made no sense to me, each to their own I guess but it just seems so inconvenient and expensive these days

I shoot digital and most of the time I store the SD cards and forget about them. It’s nice to go back and finally look at them later but then again I’m not an influencer or professional so it’s easier for me to sit on them. Lol
