Why did 40,000* disgruntled Catholics rebel against Henry VIII? Well, you're gonna find out...
*40,000 is the total number of rebels, not necessarily with Aske's main force
(I know I haven't really gone into detail on things like the Pontefract Articles, or Bigod's rebellion, or the fact that another rebel leader actually captured Hull at one point, so I've only really scratched the surface with this one).

A very informative video and an interesting tour into the history. Shamefully, before your video I've knew of the Pilgrimage of Grace rebellion mostly from scarce info from Wikipedia and from "The Tudors".

@@CatherineWarr Maybe with your next video a teapot in a cosy, a china cup and saucer with a 3 tier laden cake tower to the side. I wonder if the marchers chanted "Yorkshire, Yorkshire, Yorkshire" at any time as they marched along.
